IfyouhaveaMaccomputer(OSX),gotoSafari,clickBonjourandselectthedevicefromthedrop-downlist.Toadd
Bonjourasabrowserbookmark,gotoSafari>Preferences.

2.Entertheusernameandpassword.Ifyouaccessthedeviceforthersttime,youmustsettherootpassword.SeeSeta
newpasswordfortherootaccountonpage4.

Setanewpasswordfortherootaccount

Important

Thedefaultadministratorusernameisroot.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,resetthedevicetofactorydefaultsettings.

1.Typeapassword.Followtheinstructionsaboutsecurepasswords.SeeSecurepasswordsonpage4.

2.Retypethepasswordtoconrmthespelling.

3.ClickSave.Thepasswordhasnowbeencongured.

Securepasswords

Important

Axisdevicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.

Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.

Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:

•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.

•Don’texposethepassword.

•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

2.Fortherootuser,clickEdit.

3.Enteranewpasswordandsave.

1.Logintotheaudiodevicethatyouwanttosetastheleaderintheaudiosystem.

2.GotoAudio>Systemsettings.

3.Edittheleaderaudiodevice:

3.1Clickthepencil.

3.2Enteraudiodevicenameandenterusernameandpassword.

3.3ClickApply

4.Ifpossible,changetoMulticast.

5.Addaudiodevicestotheaudiosystem:

5.1UnderAvailableaudiodevices,clicktheplussigntoaddanaudiodevicetothezone.Ifyourdeviceisnot
listed,clickAdddevicemanuallytoaddthedevice.

5.2Foreachaudiodevice,settheaudiodevicenameandenterusernameandpasswordforthatdevice.

5.3ClickApply.

2.Setthevolumelevelforsystem,announcementsandmusic.

Themaximalvolumeforannouncementsandmusiccanneverbehigherthanthemaximalvolumeforthesystem.

Calibrateandrunremotespeakertest

Thespeakertestisatestthatcanbeinitiatedfromaremotelocationtoverifythatthespeakerisworkingasintended.Formore
information,seeSpeakertestonpage17.

Note

Duringcalibration,itisrecommendedthatsomeoneisphysicallypresentattheinstallationsitetolistentothetesttonesand
ensurethatthetesttonesarenotmufedorblockedbyanyunintendedobstructionsinthespeaker’sacousticpath.

Calibratetheaudiodevice:

1.GotoAudio>Devicesettings.

2.ClickCalibratetocalibratetheaudiodevice.

OncetheAxisproductiscalibrated,thespeakertestcanberunatanytime:

1.GotoAudio>Audiosettings.

2.ClickTesttorunthespeakertest.

Note

Itisalsopossibletorunthecalibrationbypressingthecontrolbutton.SeeProductoverviewonpage23toidentifythe
controlbutton.

Audioclipscanbesettoplaywhenaneventoccurs.

TherearetwotypesofsetupsforSIP.Peer-to-peerisoneofthem.Usepeer-to-peerwhenthecommunicationisbetweenafewuser
agentswithinthesameIPnetworkandthereisnoneedforextrafeaturesthataPBX-servercouldprovide.Forinformationon
howtosetitup,seePeer-to-peerSIP(P2PSIP)onpage17.

1.GotoVoIP>SIPsettingsandselectEnableSIP.

2.InCalltimeout,setthenumberofsecondsthatacallwilllastbeforeitendsifthereisnoanswer.

3.Toallowthedevicetoreceiveincomingcalls,selectAllowincomingcalls.

•SIPTLSport–forSIPSandTLSsecuredSIPsessions.SignallingtrafcthroughthisportisencryptedwithTransportLayer
Security(TLS).Thedefaultportnumberis5061.

•RTPstartport–EntertheportusedfortherstRTPmediastreaminaSIPcall.Thedefaultstartportformediatransportis

4000.SomerewallsmightblockRTPtrafconcertainportnumbers.Aportnumbermustbebetween1024and65535.

7.ClickSave.

8.InNATtraversal,selecttheprotocolsyouwanttoenableforNATtraversal.

SetupSIPthroughaserver(PBX)

VoIP(VoiceoverIP)isagroupoftechnologiesthatenablesvoiceandmultimediacommunicationoverIPnetworks.Formore,

InthisproductVoIPisenabledthroughtheSIPprotocol.FormoreinformationaboutSIP,seeSessionInitiationProtocol(SIP)on

TherearetwotypesofsetupsforSIP.APBX-serverisoneofthem.UseaPBX-serverwhenthecommunicationshouldbebetweenan
innitenumberofuseragentswithinandoutsidetheIPnetwork.Additionalfeaturescouldbeaddedtothesetupdependingonthe
PBX-provider.Formoreinformationsee,PrivateBranchExchange(PBX)onpage18.

5.IntheNameeld,enter"stopaudio".

6.IntheSequenceeld,enter"1".

7.ClickApplyandthenOK.

8.GotoEvents>Management>ActionrulesandclickAdd.

9.IntheNameeld,enter"DTMFstopaudio".

10.Fromthelistoftriggers,selectCall,DTMFand“stop”.

11.Fromthelistofactions,selectStopaudioclipandthenclickOK.

Sendanemailifaspeakertestfails

Severalactionsrulescanbecombined,orhavearelationtoeachother.Inthisexampletheaudiodeviceisconguredtosendan
emailtoadenedrecipientwhenaspeakertestfails.Thespeakertestisconguredtobeperformed18:00everyday.

Todothatthefollowingneedtobecongured:

•Arecurrence

•Aschedule

•Aspeakertestthatstartsaspecictime

•Anemailrecipient

•Theconditionofwhentosendtheemail

1.2Createarecurrencethattriggersonceeveryday.Nameit"speakertestrecurrence".

4.2Nameit"speakertestrecipients"andselectEmailfromtheTypelist.

4.3EntertheemailaddressestosendemailstointheToeld.Usecommastoseparatemultipleaddresses.

4.4SelecttheemailproviderfromtheProviderlist.

4.5EntertheuserIDandpasswordfortheemailaccount.

4.6ClickTesttosendatestemail.

Note

Someemailprovidershavesecurityltersthatpreventusersfromreceivingorviewinglargeattachments,from
receivingscheduledemailsandsimilar.Checktheemailprovider’ssecuritypolicytoavoiddeliveryproblemsand
lockedemailaccounts.

5.Setuptheconditionofwhentosendtheemail:

5.1GotoEvents>Management>ActionrulesandclickAdd.

5.2EnteranameandselectSpeakertestfromthetriggerlist.

5.3SelectTestresultandselectFailed.

5.4SelectSendnoticationasactiontypeandselect"speakertestrecipients"asrecipient.

5.5EnterasubjectandamessageandclickOK.

AXISAudioPlayer

UseAXISAudioPlayertoadd,manageandschedulemusicplaylists,streamsandprerecordedannouncements.Tond
AXISAudioPlayer,gotothedevicewebpageandclickOverview.

Createaplaylist

1.ClickontheplussignnexttoPlayliststoaddanewplaylist.

2.EnteranameandclickSave.

Youcannowdraganddropmusiclesandannouncementsfromthelibrarytoyourplaylist.
