IfyouhaveaMaccomputer(OSX),gotoSafari,clickBonjourandselectthedevicefromthedrop-downlist.Toadd Bonjourasabrowserbookmark,gotoSafari>Preferences.
2.Entertheusernameandpassword.Ifyouaccessthedeviceforthersttime,youmustsettherootpassword.SeeSeta newpasswordfortherootaccountonpage4.
Setanewpasswordfortherootaccount
Important
Thedefaultadministratorusernameisroot.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,resetthedevicetofactorydefaultsettings.
1.Typeapassword.Followtheinstructionsaboutsecurepasswords.SeeSecurepasswordsonpage4.
2.Retypethepasswordtoconrmthespelling.
3.ClickSave.Thepasswordhasnowbeencongured.
Securepasswords
Important
Axisdevicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

5.Addaudiodevicestotheaudiosystem:
5.1UnderAvailableaudiodevices,clicktheplussigntoaddanaudiodevicetothezone.Ifyourdeviceisnot listed,clickAdddevicemanuallytoaddthedevice.
5.2Foreachaudiodevice,settheaudiodevicenameandenterusernameandpasswordforthatdevice.

Calibrateandrunremotespeakertest
Thespeakertestisatestthatcanbeinitiatedfromaremotelocationtoverifythatthespeakerisworkingasintended.Formore information,seeSpeakertestonpage17.
Note
Duringcalibration,itisrecommendedthatsomeoneisphysicallypresentattheinstallationsitetolistentothetesttonesand ensurethatthetesttonesarenotmufedorblockedbyanyunintendedobstructionsinthespeaker’sacousticpath.
Calibratetheaudiodevice:
1.GotoAudio>Devicesettings.
2.ClickCalibratetocalibratetheaudiodevice.
OncetheAxisproductiscalibrated,thespeakertestcanberunatanytime:
1.GotoAudio>Audiosettings.
2.ClickTesttorunthespeakertest.

Itisalsopossibletorunthecalibrationbypressingthecontrolbutton.SeeProductoverviewonpage23toidentifythe controlbutton.

4000.SomerewallsmightblockRTPtrafconcertainportnumbers.Aportnumbermustbebetween1024and65535.

TherearetwotypesofsetupsforSIP.APBX-serverisoneofthem.UseaPBX-serverwhenthecommunicationshouldbebetweenan innitenumberofuseragentswithinandoutsidetheIPnetwork.Additionalfeaturescouldbeaddedtothesetupdependingonthe PBX-provider.Formoreinformationsee,PrivateBranchExchange(PBX)onpage18.

Sendanemailifaspeakertestfails
Severalactionsrulescanbecombined,orhavearelationtoeachother.Inthisexampletheaudiodeviceisconguredtosendan emailtoadenedrecipientwhenaspeakertestfails.Thespeakertestisconguredtobeperformed18:00everyday.

Someemailprovidershavesecurityltersthatpreventusersfromreceivingorviewinglargeattachments,from receivingscheduledemailsandsimilar.Checktheemailprovider’ssecuritypolicytoavoiddeliveryproblemsand lockedemailaccounts.
5.Setuptheconditionofwhentosendtheemail:
5.1GotoEvents>Management>ActionrulesandclickAdd.
5.2EnteranameandselectSpeakertestfromthetriggerlist.
5.3SelectTestresultandselectFailed.
5.4SelectSendnoticationasactiontypeandselect"speakertestrecipients"asrecipient.
5.5EnterasubjectandamessageandclickOK.
