Forinstanceinrailwaysurveillancewhereattimesthereisalotofmovementinthesceneandwhereitisimportanttocapture details,suchasfacialfeatures,theMBRshouldbesetto10Mbit/s(for1080presolutionat30fps).

Thecapturemodesettingreducesimageickerinuorescentlightenvironmentsasimagedataissampledataratethatmatches thelocalpowerlinefrequency.Capturemodeissetthersttimetheproductisaccessed.Selectthecapturemodewiththe powerlinefrequency(50Hzor60Hz)usedatthelocationoftheAxisproductandclickOK.Whenusing50Hz,themaximum framerateislimitedto25fps(withWDR)and50fps(withoutWDR).Whenusing60Hz,themaximumframerateislimitedto 20fps(withWDR)and30fps(withoutWDR).

Note
Barreldistortioncorrectionalsoaffectsimagewidth,height,andresolution.Ahigherlevelmeansthattheimagewidth isretainedattheexpenseofimageheightandresolution.Alowerlevelmeansthatimageheightandresolutionare retainedattheexpenseofimagewidth.
EnableDefog
EnablethisfeaturefromVideo&Audio>CameraSettingstocountertheeffectsoffoggyweatherandforaclearimage. Exposurecontrol-Selectasuitableoptiontocontrolexposure. Formostscenes,theAutomaticoptionwillprovidethebestresults.Theshutterspeedisautomaticallysettoproduceoptimum imagequality .Fluorescentlampsorotherlightsourcescansometimescauseickeringintheimage.Toreduceickerintheimage, selecttheFlickeroptionthatmatchesthepowerlinefrequency. TheHoldcurrentoptionlocksthecurrentexposuresettings.
Howtosetupnormalandlowlight
WhenShutterandGainarebothsettoAuto,itispossibletosetthePrioritybetweenlowmotionblurandlownoisemanuallyandto useadifferentPriorityinNormalLightandinLowLight.
Example
Consideranareawherepeopleorvehiclesmoveduringtheday,butwherethereshouldbenomovementatnight.Tobeableto, forexample,recognizefacesorlicenseplates,movethenormallightpriorityslidertowardlowmotionblur.Atnighttime,motion detectionismoreimportantthanidentication.Motionblurisacceptableandsincelowlightcancausealotofnoise,move thelowlightpriorityslidertowardlownoise.
Normallightpriority
1.UsetheslidertosetthePrioritybetweenLowmotionblurandLownoise.Whenprioritizinglownoise(slideralltheway
totheleft),thecamerawillautomaticallydecreaseshutterspeedasbrightnessdecreases.Whentheshutterspeedreaches 1/30s,thecameraincreasesgainuntilthesetmaximumgainfornormallightisreached.
Lowlightpriority
2.UsetheslidertosetthePrioritybetweenLowmotionblurandLownoise.Whenprioritizinglowmotionblur(slider
allthewaytotheright),thecameraautomaticallyincreasesgainasbrightnessdecreases.Whenthegainreachesthe setmaximumgainforlowlight,thecamerawilldecreaseshutterspeeduntilthesetmaximumshutterforlowlightis reached.Thisisthedefaultprioritysettingforlowlight.
3.SelecttheMaxgainvaluefromthedrop-downlist.Thisdenestheupperlimitforgaininthecontextofnormallight.
4.Maxfastshuttersetstheshutterspeedlimitinnormallight.Dependingonthescenario,theshutterspeedlimitmayneed

Whensettingupaviewarea,itisrecommendedthatthevideostreamresolutionisthesamesizeasorsmallerthantheviewarea size.Settingthevideostreamresolutionlargerthantheviewareasizeimpliesdigitallyscaledupvideoaftersensorcapture, requiringmorebandwidthwithoutaddingimageinformation.
