SPECIFICATION:
INTRODUCTION:
Thank you for choosing Mercury antenna. This strong triple boom antenna is designed to pick up weak TV signals where location is far away from the closest from the TV transmission tower. It is designed to be easily assembled where most parts are secured with wing nuts. Please follow the steps below for assembly.
Step 1: Install the extensions on to the main body boom arm with supplied brackets and wing nuts as below. Please ensure the longer extension goes to middle main beam and the two shorter extensions go on to the upper and lower boom arm.
Step 2: Install the boom arm joint and boom support as below, use a crosshead screw driver to tighten the 4 screws to lock in position.
Step 3: Guide the screw on dipole box through the pre drilled holes on the main body arm, use the wing nut supplied to tighten it in place.
Step 4: Slide the reflectors into the housing and screw the housing onto the main body, please ensure the narrower end of the reflector is heading inward and the wider end of the reflector is heading outward.
Step 5: Install the support bracket on to the bottom boom arm by the two brackets supplied, please ensure the shorter end is towards the tip of the antenna and the longer end is towards the reflectors
Step 6: Loosen the mast clamp until the mast pole can fit through it, ensure the tip of the antenna is facing directly towards the signal transmitter you wish to receive on and tighten up the wing nuts until the aerial is securely mounted on the mast pole. Loosen adjustment nuts and adjust the aerial closest to horizontal level and tighten it again to lock it in position.
Please note, for best reception. Position antenna at the highest possible location, as blockage in line of sight between antenna and transmission tower may cause signal loss, having the antenna installed at highest possible location will minimize the chance of signal blockage.
The design of triple boom antenna reception is directional, this allows the antenna to receive signal that comes from a forward direction only and minimise the noise pick up from all other surrounding directions. Therefore when positioning the antenna please ensure the tip of the antenna is pointing directly to the signal transmission tower that you wish to receive on.
