SPECIFICATION:
INTRODUCTION:
Thank you for choosing Mercury antenna. This antenna has an easy install design which allows tool free quick installation. The simple pull and fasten design make this product ideal for both DIY and professional installation. Please follow the steps below for assembly.
Step 1: Pull the upper and lower beam on the main body outward fully until they are fully opened and fasten wing nut to the lock in position.
Step 2: Slide the screw on the dipole box through the main body of the antenna as below, secure the box by tighten the wing nut.
Step 3: Rotate the elements until they sit into the pre-cut slot in position. Tighten the 3 wing nuts on the reflector to ensure the elements are tight in place.
Step 4: Position the reflector housing, reflector and main body as picture below, guide the 3 screws through the pre drilled holes and fasten the wing nuts on to the screws to ensure reflectors are secured on the main body.
Step 5: Loosen the mast clamp until the mast pole can fit through it, ensure the tip of the antenna is facing directly toward the signal transmitter you wish to receive on and tighten up the wing nuts until the aerial is securely mounted on the mast pole. Loosen adjustment nuts and adjust the aerial closest to horizontal level and tighten it again to lock it in position.
Please note, for best reception. Position antenna at the highest possible location, as blockage in line of sight between antenna and transmission tower may cause signal loss, having the antenna installed at highest possible location will minimize the chance of signal blockage.
The design of triple boom antenna reception is directional, this allows the antenna to receive signals that come from a forward direction only and minimise the noise pick up from all other surrounding directions. Therefore when positioning the antenna please ensure the tip of the antenna is pointing directly to the signal transmission tower that you wish to receive on.
