The following instructions will help you

install your SwitchView 100 switch.

Available in both two-port and four-port models, the SwitchView 100 switch supports audio and microphone capabilities, while enabling you to access, manage and control power to attached PS/2 PCs. The independent audio/microphone feature allows uninterrupted audio on a connected PCs, even when you switch to another PC.

Connecting local peripherals

Power down all PCs. For two and four-port models, plug your monitor cable into the monitor port on the front left of your switch. Plug your keyboard and mouse cables into the PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports located on the front of the SwitchView 100 switch, and plug your local audio jacks into the appropriate Console ports.

Connecting audio and microphone

For two-port models, connect the mini-USB audio cable (included) to the PCI port on the right side of your switch and insert the audio and microphone connectors into the appropriate ports on your PC. Repeat the process utilizing the PC2 port to add audio and microphone functionality to a second PC in your SwitchView 100 switching system. For four-port models, connect the audio cables to the corresponding speaker and microphone ports on the switch and insert the audio and microphone connectors into the appropriate ports on your PC. Repeat as needed.

Connecting your PCs

Attach the serial connector of the 2-in-1 VGA/PS/2 cable to one of the serial ports on the SwitchView 100 switch and secure. Next, attach the VGA/PS/2 connectors on the other end of the cable to the appropriate port on your PC. Repeat the process to add another PC.

Controlling the SwitchView 100 switch

There are two ways to utilize the SwitchView 100 switch for PC control: push-buttons located on top of the switch or a conﬁgurable hotkey sequence.

Using the top panel push-buttons

Top panel push-buttons provide direct control over switch operation and channel switching. Simply press the button that corresponds with your attached PC to gain access and control to that PC.

Using the hotkey sequence

To select your PC, activate the hotkey sequence by pressing ScrLk + ScrLk + (x) (x = PC port number). Each keystroke must be pressed within two seconds to

validate the hotkey sequence.

NOTE: To maintain uninterrupted audio while

switching PCs, you must use the hotkey sequence.

Anschließen von Audio und Mikrofon

Bei Modellen mit zwei Ports schließen Sie das MiniUSB-Audiokabel (mitgeliefert) an den PCI-Port auf der rechten Seite des Switches und die Audio- und Mikrofonstecker an die entsprechenden Ports am PC an. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang unter Verwendung des PC2-Ports, um einem zweiten PC in Ihrem SwitchView 100 Switching-System Audio- und Mikrofonfunktionalität hinzuzufügen. Bei Modellen mit vier Ports schließen Sie die Audiokabel an die entsprechenden Lautsprecher- und Mikrofonports am Switch und die Audio- und Mikrofonstecker an die entsprechenden Ports am PC an. Wiederholen Sie den

Vorgang gegebenenfalls.

Anschließen von PCs

Schließen Sie den seriellen Anschluss des 2-in-1-VGA/ PS/2-Kabels (im Lieferumfang enthalten) an einen der seriellen Ports am SwitchView 100 Switch an und sichern Sie die Verbindung. Schließen Sie nun die VGA/ PS/2-Verbindungsstecker am anderen Ende des Kabels

an den entsprechenden Port des PCs an. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang, um einen weiteren PC hinzuzufügen.

Steuerung des SwitchView 100 Switches

Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, den SwitchView 100 Switch für die PC-Steuerung zu verwenden: Drucktasten auf der Oberseite

des Switches oder eine konﬁgurierbare Hotkey-Tastenfolge.

Verwendung der Drucktasten auf dem oberen Bedienfeld

Die Drucktasten auf dem oberen Bedienfeld des Switches ermöglichen die direkte Steuerung von Switch-Betrieb und Kanal-Switching. Drücken Sie einfach auf die entsprechende Drucktaste für einen angeschlossenen PC, um den Zugriff auf

diesen PC sowie dessen Steuerung zu ermöglichen.

Verwendung der Hotkey-Folge

Aktivieren Sie die Hotkey-Folge für die Auswahl des PCs, indem Sie Rollen + Rollen + (x) drücken (x = PC-Portnummer). Jeder Tastenanschlag muss innerhalb von zwei Sekunden erfolgen, um die Hotkey-Folge zu bestätigen.

Connexion des périphériques locaux

Mettez tous les PC hors tension. Pour les modèles à deux et quatre voies, branchez le câble de votre moniteur à la voie vidéo située sur la partie avant gauche du commutateur. Branchez les câbles du clavier et de la souris aux voies PS/2 correspondantes situées à l'avant du commutateur SwitchView 100, puis branchez les prises audio locales

aux voies appropriées de la console.

Connexion des hauts parleurs et du

microphone

Pour les modèles à deux voies, branchez le câble audio mini-USB (inclus) à la voie PCI située sur le côté droit du commutateur et insérez les connecteurs audio et microphone dans les voies appropriées du PC. Répétez la procédure en utilisant la voie PC2 pour ajouter la fonctionnalité audio et microphone à un deuxième PC relié à votre système de commutation SwitchView 100. Pour les modèles à quatre voies, branchez les câbles audio aux voies haut-parleur et microphone correspondantes sur le commutateur et insérez les connecteurs audio et microphone dans les voies appropriées du PC. Répétez la procédure si nécessaire.

Connexion des PC

Reliez le connecteur série du câble 2 en 1 VGA/PS/2 à l'une des voies série du commutateur SwitchView 100 et ﬁxez-le fermement. Reliez ensuite les connecteurs VGA/PS/2 situés à l'autre extrémité du câble à la voie correspondante sur votre PC. Répétez la procédure pour ajouter un autre PC.

Vous pouvez utiliser le commutateur SwitchView 100 de deux façons différentes pour contrôler votre PC : grâce aux boutonspoussoirs situés au-dessus du commutateur ou à l'aide d'une séquence de raccourcis conﬁgurable.

Utilisation des boutons-poussoirs du panneau supérieur

Les boutons-poussoirs du panneau supérieur vous permettent de contrôler directement le fonctionnement du commutateur et le basculement entre ses voies. Il vous sufﬁt d'appuyer sur le bouton correspondant au PC relié pour accéder au PC en question et le contrôler.

Utilisation de la séquence de raccourcis

Pour sélectionner votre PC, activez la séquence de raccourcis en appuyant sur Arrêt déﬁl + Arrêt déﬁl + (x) (x = numéro de voie PC). Vous devez appuyer sur chaque touche à moins de deux secondes d'intervalle pour valider la séquence de raccourcis.

NOTA : pour ne pas interrompre la fonction audio lors

du passage d'un PC à un autre, vous devez utiliser la

séquence de raccourcis.
