The FRITZ! Repeater 3000 is a wireless
repeater that extends the range of your wireless network. Computers, tablets,
Smart TV and other wireless devices can
use the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 as the ac­cess point to your internet router and the home network. In the FRITZ!Box home net­work, the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 automati­cally adopts the FRITZ!Box’s settings. With a Mesh-enabled FRITZ!Box you also benefi t from more convenience and optimized wireless LAN performance. More detailed information about the benefi ts and the confi guration of Mesh WiFi is presented at

The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 comes with a
user interface which you can open in a web browser on all connected devices.

Security
 Operate the FRITZ! Repeater 3000 in
a dry place that is free of dust and protected from direct sunlight, and provide for suffi cient ventilation.
 The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 is intended
for indoor use only. Never let liquids get inside the housing.
 Connect the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 to
an easily accessible outlet.
 Do not open the FRITZ!Repeater 3000
housing. Opening and/or repairing the device can present a hazard.
 Unplug the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 from
the outlet before cleaning. Clean the device using a moist cloth.
Operating Modes
The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 can work in two diff erent operating modes:
Wireless Bridge (Preset)
The wireless bridge connects the
FRITZ!Repeater 3000 with your internet router via wireless LAN. Computers and other network devices are connected to the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 via wireless LAN or with a LAN cable.

LAN Bridge
The LAN bridge connects the FRITZ!Re-
peater 3000 with your internet router using a LAN cable. Computers and other network devices are connected with the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 via wireless LAN.
The LAN bridge operating mode can be

Connecting the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 to the Router
at the Touch of a Button
Connecting the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 to your wireless router is especially convenient with
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) at the touch of a button.
1. Connect the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 to the power mains in the vicinity of your wireless router (for instance, a FRITZ!Box).
2. Wait 35 to 40 seconds until the “Connect” LED is fl ashing slowly.
3. Press the “Connect” button. The lower “Connect” LED fl ashes faster.
4. Within two minutes, start WPS on your wireless router: FRITZ!Boxes with “WPS” or “Connect/WPS” button: Press button briefl y.
FRITZ!Boxes with “WLAN“ or “WLAN/WPS” button: Press button for about 6 seconds until the “WLAN” LED fl ashes.
When the connection is established, both LEDs on the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 will be on.
5. Select a suitable location for the FRITZ!Repeater 3000. An ideal location is about half­way between the wireless router and the wireless devices to be added to the wireless network. The LED for connection quality should glow green. If the LED glows orange, position the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 closer to your wireless router.

Connecting the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 to the Router
Using the Wizard
If your wireless router does not support WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), use the Confi gu- ration Wizard to set up the connection.
Establishing a Connection to the Computer
1. Connect the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 to the power supply.
2. Wait 35 to 40 seconds until the lower
“Connect” LED starts fl ashing slowly.
3. Select the wireless radio network of your FRITZ!Repeater 3000 on the computer, and start the connection process.
4. Enter the network key of the FRITZ!Repeater 3000. The preconfi g- ured unique network key is printed on the back of this guide and on the bottom of the device housing. The computer establishes a connec­tion to the FRITZ!Repeater 3000.
Starting the Confi guration Wizard
1. Open the web browser on your com­puter and enter in the address bar.
2. The confi guration wizard appears and guides you the through setup of the wireless connection between the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 and your wireless router.
3. Select a suitable location for the FRITZ!Repeater 3000. An ideal location is about halfway between the wireless router and the wireless devices to be added to the wireless network. At this position the LED for connection quality should glow green. If the LED glows orange, position the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 closer to your wireless router.
The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 is ready for operation.

FRITZ!Repeater 3000 in the Home Network
In the home network of a FRITZ!Box, it is especially easy and convenient for your FRITZ! devices to work together.
FRITZ!Repeater 3000 on a FRITZ!Box with Mesh Functionality
 During registration with FRITZ!Boxes
with Mesh functionality, the FRITZ!Re­peater 3000 automatically adopts the FRITZ!Box’s wireless LAN settings.
 When settings on the FRITZ!Box are
changed, the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 adopts these changes automatically.
 Updates for the FRITZ!Repeater 3000
can be performed directly in the FRITZ!Box user interface under “Home Network /Home Network Overview” or
“Home Network / Mesh”.

FRITZ!Repeater 3000 on a Wireless Router from Another Manufacturer
 For registration with a wireless router
via WPS, the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 adopts the SSID (radio network name) and network key of the wireless router.
 Updates are performed directly in the
user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 under “System / Update”.
The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 user inter­face can be opened on all connected devices using the IP address the re­peater was assigned by your wireless router.
- Open the user interface of the your wireless router fi rst, to determine which IP address was assigned to the FRITZ!Repeater 3000.
- Then enter this IP address in the address bar of a new web browser window to open the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 user interface.
- Secure your FRITZ!Repeater 3000 with a password the fi rst time you open the user interface.

FRITZ!Repeater 3000 per Tastendruck mit dem WLAN-Router verbinden
Verbinden Sie den FRITZ!Repeater 3000 besonders bequem durch WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) per Tastendruck mit Ihrem WLAN-Router.
1. Schließen Sie den FRITZ!Repeater 3000 in der Nähe Ihres WLAN-Routers (zum Bei­spiel FRITZ!Box) am Strom an.
2. Warten Sie 35 bis 40 Sekunden, bis die LED „Connect“ dauerhaft langsam blinkt.
3. Drücken Sie die „Connect“-Taste. Die untere LED „Connect“ blinkt schneller.
4. Starten Sie an Ihrem WLAN-Router innerhalb von 2 Minuten WPS: FRITZ!Boxen mit Taste „WPS“ oder „Connect/WPS“: Taste kurz drücken.
FRITZ!Boxen mit Taste „WLAN“ oder „WLAN/WPS“: Taste ca. 6 Sekunden lang drücken, bis die LED „WLAN“ blinkt.
Wenn die Verbindung hergestellt ist, leuchten beide LEDs am FRITZ!Repeater 3000.
5. Wählen Sie einen geeigneten Standort für den FRITZ!Repeater 3000. Der ideale Standort befi ndet sich ungefähr auf halbem Weg zwischen dem WLAN-Router und den WLAN-Geräten, für die das Funknetz erweitert werden soll. Die LED für die Ver­bindungsqualität sollte grün leuchten. Wenn die LED orange leuchtet, stellen Sie den FRITZ!Repeater 3000 näher an Ihren WLAN-Router.
