1.1 Important Safeguards
Please read all of these instructions carefully before you use the device. Save this manual for future
reference.
What the warranty does not cover
Any product, on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product
modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by us.
Any damage of the product due to shipment.
Removal or installation of the product.
Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuation or failure.
Use of supplies or parts not meeting our specifications.
Normal wear and tear.
Any other causes which does not relate to a product defect.
Removal, installation, and set-up service charges.
1.2 Safety Instructions
The C-USB-HDM converter USB 3.0 with Audio to HDMI has been tested for conformance to safety regulations
and requirements, and has been certified for international use. However, like all electronic equipment’s, the
C-USB-HDM should be used with care. Read the following safety instructions to protect yourself from possible injury and to minimize the risk of damage to the unit.
Do not dismantle the housing or modify the module.
Dismantling the housing or modifying the module may result in electrical shock or burn.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing housing may expose you to
dangerous voltage or other hazards
Keep the module away from liquids. Spillage into the housing may result in fire, electrical shock, or equipment damage. If an object or liquid
falls or spills on to the housing, unplug the module immediately.
Have the module checked by a qualified service engineer before using it again. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners to clean this unit. Always unplug the power to the device before
cleaning.

1.4 Introduction
Avenview C-USB-HDM Converter/Extender connects to your USB port (preferred USB 3.0) from your desktop
to any HDMI Display or Monitor with 1080p 32bit True Color also supporting audio (additional output) with
3.5mm audio out. This video stream can be either dual or multi display support. This device is compatible with both PC/Laptop and iMac notebook using its USB 3.0 connections. It is designed to connect to any HDMI port and has limitless applications in both consumer and commercial environments. This small footprint design is greatly appreciated in the digital signage market, home theater, video games and office cubicles. Set up is as simple as plug and play;

Put the product in an even and stable location. If the product falls down or drops, it may cause an
injury or malfunction.
Don’t place the product in too high temperature (over 50°C), too low temperature (under 0°C) or high
humidity.

1.8 Installation Software
Depending on your version of Windows the driver may install automatically.
To setup Avenview C-USB-HDM follow these steps for connecting to a device:
Insert Disk and run the Driver.exe file either Windows or Mac depending on your source.
Select your preferred Language.
Follow through the instructions.
Wait until the Loading and setup process is finished. Depending on the version of Windows or Mac you may have to restart you device.
1.9 Installation Hardware
1. Power On source such as Laptop/PC or Mac
2. Connect your C-USB-HDM to input USB 3.0/2.0 device
3. Connect Stereo Audio source to 3.5mm Jack respectively
4. Connect Male to Male HDMI to HDMI Output of C-USB 3.0-HDM
5. Connect other end of HDMI cable to TV or projector with HDMI input

1.11 General Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Solution
No image output or abnormal display
1). Re-plug USB or change to other PC USB3.0/2.0 ports
2). Unplug USB and restart computer
3). Adjust converter output resolution till it is compatible with TV
4). If all the above can’t do, re-install CD driver
The device has been working, but refuses
to work after the HDMI cable is disconnected then re-connected.
Unplugging of the HDMI cable during normal use is “not allowed”. The device will refuse to work until the USB cable is re-inserted.
Some video can’t play normally by some
Media Player software
Some Media player software is not compatible with the USB driver. Try another Media player software, or update the media player software version to the current and the driver
Abnormal display after adjusting the
resolution of the device
When changing or setting the resolution or output mode of the device. Please stop all streaming media software or programs.
Under XP OS, the video display becomes
abnormal after the output model of the
device is adjusted by the display
properties.
The computer system is not compatible with the driver. Please use the software of the device to adjust output mode.(see part 4 operating instructions)
The device doesn’t work after restart.
A: Please don’t connect the device before the computer system is
completely started, or the device will not be detected by the computer and work normally.
