It may be necessary to program the remote receiver to LEARN the security code of the
transmitter upon initial use, if batteries are replaced, if a replacement transmitter is
purchased from your dealer or the factory, or any time the receiver does not respond to the
transmitter due to the loss of codes.
● To program the remote receiver to LEARN a new security code:
○
1 Move the slide switch on the front of the remote receiver to the OFF position, then move
it to the REMOTE position, the red LED on the front panel will flash twice, indicating it’s
ready to learn a code from the transmitter.
○
2 Press theψ(ON/OFF) button on a ready-to-use transmitter (refer to the TRANSMITTER
section in this instruction manual).
○
3 The red LED on the receiver will flash twice again indicating the transmitter’s code has
been successfully programmed into the receiver.
Note 1:
When matching security codes, be sure the slide button on the receiver is placed in
the REMOTE setting from the OFF or ON position and stays in the REMOTE position;
the code will NOT “LEARN” if the slide switch is in the ON or OFF positions.
Note 2: When an existing receiver is matched to a new transmitter, the new security code will
override the old one.
Note 3: The microprocessor that controls the security code matching procedure is controlled
by a timing function. If you are unsuccessful in matching the security code on the first
attempt, wait five minutes before trying again – this delay allows the microprocessor
to reset its timer circuitry – and try up to two or three more times.
