Important Safety Instructions

WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury when using your dishwasher, follow these basic precautions:
-Save these instructions-
Warning
Read all instructions before using the dishwasher. DANGER or WARNING: Risk of child entrapment.
Child entrapment and suffocation are not problems of the past. Junked or abandoned
dishwashers are still dangerous. . . even if they will “just sit in the garage a few days.”
Before you throw away your old appliance: Take off the doors. Leave the shelves in
place so that children may not easily climb inside. Never allow children to operate, play with, or crawl inside the dishwasher. Never clean dishwasher parts with flammable fluids. Do not store or use gasoline or any other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of
this or any other dishwasher. Plug the dishwasher into an exclusive properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not
under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
Any questions concerning power and or grounding should be directed toward a certified
electrician or an authorized Avanti Products service center
Electrical Connection
Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorized Avanti Products service center.
This dishwasher should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this dishwasher is
equipped with a three-prong plug which mates with standard thr ee prong wall outlets to m inimize
the possibility of electrical shock. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third ground prong from the power cord
supplied. Never use an extension cord to connect power to the unit. Never use a two-prong grounding adapter. Where a two-prong wall receptacle is encountered, contact a qualified electrician to have it replaced
with a 3-prong receptacle in accordance with applicable electrical codes. This dishwasher requires a s tandard 110/120 volts A.C.~/60hz electric al outlet with three-prong
ground. T he cord should be secured behind t he dishwasher and not left exposed or dangling to pr event
accidental injury. Connect to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system: or run an equipment grounding terminal or
lead of the appliance. Im proper connection of the equipment grounding c onductor can result in a risk of electric shock .
Check with a qualified electrician or service representative if you are in doubt whether the appliance
is properly grounded. Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your dishwasher unless it is specifically
recommended in this manual. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician. To minimize the possibility of electric shock, disconnect this appliance form the power supply before
attempting any m ainte nanc e. Note: Turning the dishwasher off do es no t d is c onn ect the ap pl iance
from the power supply. We recommend having a qualified technician service your appliance.
