Wood Heats Like No Other Fuel
Wood is nature's renewable resource. A natural fuel that burns like no other. A wood fire is cozy - the radiant and convective heat from your Avalon wood stove or insert warms
body and soul.
Environmentally Responsible
An open fireplace or antique stove may conjure fond memories, but they actually create pollution and yield very low energy efficiency. In contrast, our Avalon wood burning appliances are EPA certified and produce virtually no visible smoke or creosote. In fact the Avalon wood line as a whole has been independently rated as the cleanest burning stove
line in the world!
Renewable Energy
When fossil fuels like heating oil are burned, carbon dioxide - the gas responsible for the greenhouse effect - is released into the atmosphere. But when wood is burned, it’s part of a natural cycle: A tree absorbs carbon dioxide as it grows. When a tree falls into decay or is burned as firewood, the carbon dioxide is released and gets absorbed again by other young trees. By practicing sustainable wood energy use and keeping our forests healthy, this cycle can be maintained virtually forever!
Energy Independence
Heating with wood offers independence from the rising costs of the utility companies. Even when your power goes out and all other conventional heating systems are useless, a wood burning
stove will keep you warm and self-sufficient.

Radiant &
ConveCtive heat
In addition to radiant heat, which only
warms objects within the room, all Avalon
wood-burning appliances feature a five-sided
convection chamber to circulate room air
around the stove and push warm air back
into the room. This dynamic process circu-
lates warm air to other areas of your home
without using a blower.
Our unique knife-edge seal between the door gasket and stove body guarantees an air-tight seal for life.
A single, easy-to-use draft control simplifies stove operation and heat output.
Avalon’s cast door is designed to lasts a lifetime. The finely crafted wood handle has a naturally comfortable touch.

Its large firebox can handle logs up to 24" long, providing up to 12 hours of continuous burn time. It also features a single control to adjust heat output and a by-pass damper to prevent smoke puff-backs while starting and reloading. In addition to several leg styles, an optional pedestal base with or without an extra-large ashpan is available. And for maximum convenience, the Olympic features a spacious cook top surface.

The Rainier stove is shown with the standard black door and optional pedestal base.
With its unique heat transfer system and elegant design, the Rainier towers above other stoves in its class. Featuring both radiant surfaces and a convective heat exchanger, the Rainier can heat up to an 1,800 sq. ft. home. The Rainier’s large firebox can handle logs up to 20" long, great for overnight burns, yet still one of the most efficient medium-size stoves ever tested. The Rainier is also remarkably easy to operate and maintain. A single air control adjusts heat output, and the optional pedestal base features a huge ashpan to minimize ash removal between burns.
