Button Control Functions
Demonstration is controlled by push-buttons. The 1770 allows custom button setup via the microSD card. Stored in “AUTO. txt”, each button can be assigned a command to output on the RS232 OUT port. If a microSD card isn’t present, default commands will be used for each button press. Command protocol depends on the device.
Buttons are lit solid when idle. Push the button to start demo; if no demo is playing, the demo starts and the button blinks.
RS-232 Ports
The RS-232 port connects via modular RS-232 to any compatible device at a 9600 Baud rate. RX is located on pin 3, TX on pin 6, and GND on pin 7. A special RJ-45 to DB-9 cable is available from Audio Authority, PN: 801-252.
RS-485 COM Bus
The RS-485 communication pathway is for use with multiple 1770s. See Module ID below.
