Introduction
The Model 1542V Wireless Headset for Series 1500 and 1580 Intercom Systems
allows freedom of movement for users from the intercom Counter Station for
maximum efciency while serving drive-up lanes. Each base station can sync
with up to four headsets, and multiple headsets can operate in close proximity.
Easy to use call-control buttons make it easy to manage multiple lanes.

Connecting the 1542V
The 1542V headset base connects to the Audio Authority 1500A via 801-142
RJ11 to 2.5mm cable.

1) Connect the RJ11 end of the 801-142 cable into the port marked telephone
on the 1542V base unit and plug the 2.5mm end into the port marked
headset on the 1500A.
2) Connect power supply to AC power, then to the 1542V power port.
3) Power on the headset by pressing the multifunction button for 2 seconds.
The blue LED on the headset ashes every three seconds indicating it is on.
Press the multifunction button (or dock the headset and remove) to link to the
base unit. The audio link indicator on the base is lit to verify connection.
4) Charge the headset by docking to the 1542V base unit. The battery status
indicator ashes green while charging and lit solid green when complete. A
battery status indicator lit yellow indicates a medium charge, red indicates a
low battery.
Operation
Pairing the Headset
• Press and hold the page switch on the rear of the base for ve seconds to
search for the headset. Press the headset’s mute button until the headset’s
ashing LED is lit solid indicating a sucessful pairing.
• To unpair a headset, unplug power from the base power port. Press and hold
the + Mic adjustment button while plugging power back into the base. The
battery charging status indicator ashes three times signaling a successful
unpairing. The base unit automatically enters search mode and the audio link
indicator is lit.
Pairing Additional Headsets
• Press and hold the page switch on the rear of the base for ve seconds to
search for additional headsets. Press the headset’s mute button until the
headset’s ashing LED is lit solid indicating a sucessful pairing.
Answering a Call
• Activate the headset, touch PRIVACY on the 1500A keypad and select the
ashing lane. If the headset is the preferred method, leave PRIVACY on.
Putting a Call on HOLD
• Touch HOLD on the 1500A keypad.
Picking Up a Call from HOLD
• If PRIVACY is already on, activate the headset and select the blinking
lane key.
