About your new thermostat

This thermostat can be used to control an electric heating system such as a
baseboard heater, a radiant floor, a radiant ceiling, a convector or a fan-forced

heater.

The thermostat CANNOT be used with:

• a resistive load under 0.83 A

• a resistive load over 10.4 A

• a system driven by a contactor or a relay (inductive load)

• a central heating system

• To view the setpoint temperature, briefly press the Up or Down button. The setpoint will

be displayed for 5 seconds and the screen illuminated for 12 seconds.

• To change the setpoint temperature, press the Up or Down button until the desired

value is displayed.

Removing the faceplate

TURN OFF POWER OF THE HEATING SYSTEM AT THE MAIN POWER
PANEL TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK.

Loosen the screw holding the faceplate to
the base. The screw cannot be completely
removed and remains captive on the base.
Remove the faceplate from the base by
pulling the bottom half.

Connect any one of
thermostat wires to the

heater (load) wire and the
other one to the power
supply wire using solderless
connectors for copper wires.
(The thermostat wires are
non-polarized; either wire
can be connected to the load
or to the power supply.)

NOTE: All cables and connections must conform to the local electrical code.
Special CO/ALR solderless connectors must be used when connecting with
aluminium conductors.

Install the base onto an electrical

Setup procedure

The setup menu is shown on the following page.

n Press the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for three seconds to enter

the setup menu.

o Press the Up or Down button to change the option.
p Press the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for one second to advance

to the next parameter.

q When the last parameter is displayed, press the Up and Down buttons for

three seconds to save any changes and exit the menu.

PROBLEM SOLUTIONS

Thermostat is hot. This is normal.

Remediate if any the following conditions exists:

Displayed tempera­ture is wrong.

Display disappears
and reappears after
a few minutes.

• The thermostat is exposed to air draft.

• The sticker on the thermostat’s screen has not been removed.

• The thermostat is located near or above a heat source such as
a light dimmer.

The thermal protection device on the heater has temporarily
opened. This can happen if the heater is obstructed by furniture or
curtain and has overheated, or if the heater’s thermal protection
device is too sensitive.

Warranty

Honeywell warrants this product, excluding battery, to be free from defects in the workmanship or materials, under normal
use and service, for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase by the consumer. If at any time during the war­ranty period the product is determined to be defective or malfunctions, Honeywell shall repair or replace it (at Honeywell's
option).

If the product is defective,

(i) return it, with a bill of sale or other dated proof of purchase, to the place from which you purchased it, or
(ii) contact Honeywell. Honeywell will make the determination whether the product should be returned, or whether a

replacement product can be sent to you.

This warranty does not cover removal or reinstallation costs. This warranty shall not apply if it is shown by Honeywell that
the defect or malfunction was caused by damage which occurred while the product was in the possession of a consumer.

Honeywell's sole responsibility shall be to repair or replace the product within the terms stated above. HONEYWELL
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSE­QUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ANY BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY,

À propos du thermostat

Ce thermostat a été conçu pour commander un appareil de chauffage électrique
tel qu’une plinthe chauffante, un plancher chauffant, un plafond radiant, un
convecteur ou un ventiloconvecteur.

Ce thermostat NE PEUT être utilisé avec :

• une charge résistive inférieure à 0,83 A

• une charge résistive supérieure à 10,4 A

• Pour modifier la température, appuyer sur le bouton Haut ou Bas jusqu’à ce que la valeur désirée

soit affichée.

Enlever la façade

Desserrer la vis qui retient la façade du
thermostat à la base. La vis ne peut être
complètement enlevée et reste captive sur
la base. Séparer la façade de la base en
tirant sur la partie inférieure du thermostat.

Procédé de configuration

Le menu de configuration apparaît sur la page suivante.

n Appuyer sur les boutons Haut et Bas simultanément pendant trois secondes

pour accéder au menu de configuration.

o Appuyer sur le bouton Haut ou Bas pour changer d’option.
p Appuyer sur les boutons Haut et Bas simultanément pendant une seconde

pour avancer au paramètre suivant.

q Lorsque le dernier paramètre est affiché, appuyer sur les boutons Haut et

Bas simultanément pendant trois secondes pour enregistrer tout

changement et sortir du menu.

NOTA : Si vous n’appuyez sur aucun bouton pendant une minute, le thermostat
enregistrera automatiquement tout changement que vous aurez fait et retournera
ensuite à l’affichage normal.

En cas de difficulté

PROBLÈMES SOLUTIONS

Le thermostat est chaud. Ceci est normal.

Remédier si l’une des situations suivantes existe :

La température affichée
est erronée.

• Il y a un courant d’air à proximité.

• L’autocollant sur l’écran du thermostat n’a pas été enlevé.

• Le thermostat est situé près ou au-dessus d’une source de
chaleur tel qu’un gradateur de lumière.

L’affichage disparaît et
ne réapparaît qu’après
quelques minutes.

La protection thermique de la plinthe était temporairement ouverte.
Ceci peut se produire après une surchauffe lorsque la plinthe est
obstruée par un meuble ou un rideau, ou si la protection thermique
de la plinthe est trop sensible.

Sobre el nuevo termostato

Este termostato se puede utilizar para controlar un sistema de calefacción
eléctrico, como un calentador de zócalo, un cielorraso o un piso radiante, un
convector o un calefactor a aire forzado.

El termostato NO se puede usar con:

• Una carga resistiva inferior a 0.83 A

• Una carga resistiva superior a 10.4 A

• Sistemas accionados por un interruptor automático o un relé (con carga inductiva)

• Sistemas de calefacción central

• Para modificar la temperatura, presionar el botón Alta o Baja hasta que aparezca el valor deseado.

Para llevarse la parte frontal

CORTAR LA ALIMENTACIÓN DEL SISTEMA DE CALEFACCIÓN PARA EVI­TAR RIESGOS DE ELECTROCUCIÓN.

Aflojar el tornillo que retiene el frente del
termostato a la base. El tornillo no puede
retirarse completamente y quedará cautivo
en la base. Separar el frente de la base
tirando hacia arriba la parte inferior del ter­mostato.

Procedimiento de configuración

El menú de configuración aparece en página siguiente.

n Presionar los botones Alta y Baja simultáneamente durante 3 segundos para

acceder al menú de configuración.

o Presionar el botón Alta o Baja para cambiar de opción.
p Presionar los botones Alta y Baja simultáneamente durante un segundo para

avanzar al parámetro siguiente.

q Cuando se visualiza la última función, se presiona Alta y Baja durante 3

segundos para salir del menú.

NOTA: Si no se presiona ningún botón durante un minuto, el termostato salva los
cambios automáticamente y sale del menú.

En caso de dificultad

Puede deberse a alguna de las condiciones siguientes :

• No se ha retirado el autoadhesivo de la pantalla del
termostato.

• El termostato está colocado cerca o sobre una fuente de calor,
como un conmutador de luz con potenciómetro (“dimmer”).

aparecen y desaparecen
luego de algunos minutos

El dispositivo de protección térmica del calentador está abierto
temporalmente. Esto puede suceder cuando el calefactor está
obstruido por muebles o cortinas y se ha sobrecalentado o si el
dispositivo de protección térmica es demasiado sensible.
