What's your goal?

If you're reading this we'll bet one of your main goals is to have the least obtrusive high performance sound system possible. In-wall speaker buyers are usually just as concerned about how the equipment fits into their home as they are about performance. Rest assured that our goals are the same as yours. You see, we've been high performance sound fanatics since the earliest days of home HiFi. Since we founded Atlantic Technology over ten years ago we've established an enviable reputation for making value packed leading edge home theater and music systems. Our prime goal then, in creating the InWall Theater System™ speakers was to deliver the same level of performance and value in a practically invisible format.

Do we use magic?

When most companies design in wall speakers their priorities usually start with the speakers being unobtrusive and easy to mount. Sound quality is generally pretty far back in importance. But since we're obsessed with accurate sound, we spent months adapting components from our highly regarded System 270 and System 370 to create a speaker that sounds every bit as good as it looks.

Using no-compromise components is only the first art of the job. There are special considerations that must be addressed wehn desiging in-wall speakers. Whereas box speakers can be moved away from the negative influences walls have on sound, in-wall speakers obviously can't. So our design process involved many more hours of computer design, testing, and listening sessions to develop ways of compensating for the surrounding wall's effects on the sound. One listen to the System 10 compared to other inwall designs will prove the success of our efforts.

We developed the System 10 speaker to integrate beautifully with our in-wall surround speakers and subwoofers. Essentially then, it forms the heart of a music and cinema sound system that's amazingly lifelike and yet disappears into the decor of your home.

Creating your custom system.

Until a high performance InWall subwoofer comes along we strongly recommend an external sub for truly gratifying performance. After all, why spend the time, money, and effort only to ultimately compromise the results? The amount of "woof" that you need really depends upon the size of your room and your performance expectations. Generally however, the System 10 mates well with our 172 PBM or 272 PBM, both of which deliver powerful, articulate bass ideal for music and special effects.

Get lost!

The goal of home theater is to place you in the movie, not the movie theater. And the surround speakers are critical to creating this virtual environment. We believe Dipole surrounds work best because they produce a diffuse and believable soundfield. We're also aware that some people prefer direct radiating surround speakers. Consult with your installation expert, and then choose between our in-wall/ on-wall recessable Frequency Enhanced Dipole surrounds or you may use the System 10 speaker "all 'round".

Whether used in pairs for fine music reproduction or in a multichannel system, the Atlantic Technology System 10 speaker delivers the accurate, low distortion sound necessary for reproducing today's latest digital sources. Yet once it's installed it's really no more obtrusive than a light switch. Enjoy!
