BUTTON OPERATION:
= On/Off Selection F/C = Fahrenheit / Celsius Selection
OPERATE THERMOMETER:
1) Insert Type K thermocouple probe into connector on top of instrument. Match
indicator marks “+” and “-” for correct polarity.
2) To turn instrument on press ON/OFF button.
3) To select Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature scale press F/C button.
4) To turn instrument off, press and hold ON/OFF button momentarily.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT:
The instrument uses (3) alkaline AAA batteries. A low battery icon will appear
in the lower right corner of the display when it is time to replace the batteries.
When the batteries are fully depleted the display will show bAtt and the unit will
shut off and not operate until new batteries are installed.
To replace batteries, remove rear battery cover by pressing in and pushing
downwards. The battery orientation is printed in the battery holder. Match the
“+” and “–” markings for correct polarity, install new alkaline batteries and
replace rear battery cover securely.
IMPORTANT: Failure to install batteries correctly can cause
damage to the instrument.
MOUNTING SCREWS: HARD SURFACES
1) Be sure desired surface is secure and intact.
2) Hold bracket vertically on wall and mark screw locations.
3) Drill a 3/32 hole approx 3/4” deep at each location.
4) Fasten bracket in place with two (2) screws provided. Do not overtighten.
Note: For drywall, use the appropriate drywall anchor for a #8 screw.
Self-drilling anchor is recommended.
MOUNTING TAPE: ALL SURFACES
1) Be sure desired surface is secure and intact.
2) Clean mounting surface (wall or other desired location) with alcohol wipe or
other cleaner, make sure surface is dry.
3) Peel off one side of tape backing and stick to bracket.
4) Peel exposed backing off of tape and stick bracket to surface.
5) Push fi rmly in place and hold for a few seconds.

TRACEABILITY:
We certify that this instrument has been calibrated to temperature and/or
electrical standards traceable to the U.S. Department of Commerce National
Institute of Standards and Technology.
CALIBRATION:
Under normal operating conditions, the unit should not require re-calibration.
WARRANTY:
ATKINS thermometers are backed by a 5-Year Instrument Warranty on defects in
workmanship and materials.

Unit Does Not Turn On:
Batteries are installed incorrectly or dead.
Check battery orientation matches picture in battery holder.
Replace batteries.

Error Reading LO:
Probe is inserted incorrectly or broken.
Insert probe matching “+” and “–” pins.
Test for broken probe: Pull the connector out half way to expose the pins.
Place a metal paperclip on connector pins touching both pins, if a temperature
appears on the LCD the probe is broken. Replace probe.
Battery icon appears
Low battery.
Replace batteries.
Error Reading “bAtt”
Dead battery.
Replace batteries.

OPERACIÓN DE LOS BOTONES:

PARA OPERAR EL TERMÓMETRO:
1) Inserte la sonda de termocupla tipo K en el conector ubicado en la parte
superior del instrumento. Haga coincidir las marcas “+” y “-” para mantener la
polaridad correcta.
2) Para apagar el instrumento, oprima el botón ON/OFF.
3) Para seleccionar la escala de temperatura en grados Fahrenheit o grados
Celcius, oprima el botón F/C.
4) Para apagar el instrumento, mantenga oprimido por un instante el botón
ON/OFF.
REEMPLAZO DE BATERÍAS:
El instrumento utiliza tres (3) baterías alcalinas de tamaño AAA. Si la carga
de las baterías es baja, el instrumento muestra el icono de carga de baterías
baja en la parte inferior derecha de la pantalla. Una vez que las baterías estén
completamente descargadas, la pantalla mostrará bAtt y la unidad se apagará y
no funcionará hasta que no se instalen baterías nuevas.
Para reemplazar las baterías, retire la tapa de baterías posterior, apretándola
y empujándola hacia abajo. La orientación correcta de las baterías aparece
impresa en el compartimiento de las baterías. Haga coincidir las marcas “+” y
“–” para mantener la polaridad correcta. Coloque baterías alcalinas nuevas y
vuelva a poner la tapa de baterías de modo que quede asegurada.
IMPORTANTE SI LAS BATERÍAS NO SE INSTALAN
CORRECTAMENTE, ES POSIBLE QUE
OCURRAN DAÑOS AL INSTRUMENTO.
MONTAR ENROSCA: LAS SUPERFICIES DURAS
1) Esté superfi cie deseada segura es segura e intacta.
2) Tenga paréntesis verticalmente en pared y ubicaciones de tornillo de marca.
3) Taladre un 3/32 hoyo aprox 3/4” profundo en cada ubicación.
4) Abroche paréntesis en el lugar con dos (2) los tornillos proporcionaron. Haga
no overtighten.
La nota: Para el muro sin cemento, utilice el ancla apropiada de muro sin
cemento para un #8 tornillo. El ancla de la ser-perforación es
recomendada.
LA CINTA QUE MONTA: TODAS SUPERFICIES
1) Esté superfi cie deseada segura es segura e intacta.
2) Limpie montando superfi cie (pared u otra ubicación deseada) con alcohol
enjuga u otro limpiador, la marca superfi cie segura es seca.
3) Quite un lado del apoyo de cinta y palo para poner entre paréntesis.
4) La cáscara expuso retrocediendo de paréntesis de cinta y palo para surgir.
5) Empuje fi rmemente en lugar y asidero por unos pocos segundos.
