This important control is the athena
TECHNOLOGIES

secret! It allows you to
perfectly set up the subwoofer with little or no technical knowledge. It
removes all of the guesswork. It is fact that the Bass Range Control, or operating frequency is the most difficult to adjust. The SCT Control automatically sets the operating range of the subwoofer for a perfect blend with the
chosen athena
TECHNOLOGIES
TM
speaker model.
The SCT Control has the model numbers of the athena
TECHNOLOGIES
TM
AUDITION Series and the S.5 (the satellite speaker in the
Point 5 MK II system) printed right on the control. By setting this control to the
appropriate model number, the subwoofer will be “blended” perfectly with the
front speakers. The result? A subwoofer that sounds like it is part of the system, not a separate unit. The front speakers will sound like larger speakers
than they are, regardless of size. A properly blended subwoofer is essential to
great sounding music playback, as well as home theater reproduction.
To Set Up a AUDITION Series Subwoofer
There are 4 basic steps:
1) Plug the subwoofers AC cord into a 120 volt outlet
2) Plug the RCA cable from the Subwoofer out on the receiver to the Subwoofer In on either the
AS-P300 or AS-P400
3) Turn the Level Control to about 5 (this is the starting point, you’ll need to adjust it to your taste
after)
4) Set the SCT Control to match the model number of the front speakers in the system.
