Burst Gernerator
NSG 3025
Burst tests form a particularly powerful part of EMC test strategies: they are used to verify
complete systems and identify disturbances in installations, as well for type testing.
bad cabling or system composition, and can also indicate grounding problems.
Portability for On-Site use
On-site tests are significantly simplified by the NSG 3025's compact design. An ideal test tool further also needs to offer:
Easy local operation in all working positions
Pre-prepared tests and test sequences
A built-in coupling network for AC and DC applications
A separately switched pulse output
A printer output for test protocols
Superb test margins
The NSG 3025 provides all these features.
Compact, full-capability instrument
For standard tests to EN 61000-4-4, IEC 1000-4-4, etc.
Handles tests to product standards and company standards
Designed for certification, development laboratories and
on-site use
NSG 3025
Burst Generator
For on-site use, a handy test generator with autonomous functions is required. And for laboratory use, the generator needs to offer extended functionality for product investigation and automated operation for certification work.
The NSG 3025 satisfies all these requirements from one compact unit.
Professional tool for certification applications
People working in development laboratories and test centers will appreciate the handiness and small space requirements of the NSG 3025, but more importantly, they will benefit from the timesaving and professional functions that the instrument offers for certification tasks:
Pre-programmed tests to EN 61000-4-4 and product standards
Faultless reproducibility
Selection of coupling modes under program control
EUT power control
3-phase extension
Automated test and test protocols via computer and Windows-based software
Attenuator for periodic pulse verification
Additional features for development engineers
For product design and detailed analysis, the NSG 3025 offers the following additional features:
Widely adjustable test parameters
Pulse data can be adjusted during the test run
Selection of local or computer control
Full functionality under both local and remote control, including ramping and sequencing
Superb characteristics, which far exceed the standards requirements
Switched pulse output
A new random frequency mode to identify hidden design problems
Single and continuous pulse generation
Applicable to all electronics sectors
The NSG 3025 is designed for use in industrial electronics, system installations, telecommunications, medical electronics, domestic appliances, office automation, etc., and is fully equipped for all relevant product test specifications, as well as future standards.
Computer control for the highest requirements
Schaffner's WIN 3025 software package brings additional, fully-automated functions to the NSG 3025:
Simple test program set-up
Multilingual user guidance
Integration of comments
Automated and editable records of test parameters and test results
Compatibility with the computer infrastructure
Expandable and future proof
Carefully tuned extensions for dataline testing and 3-phase test subjects, together with accessories for calibration, safety circuits etc., are available for universal applications.
