Fuse Buddy Automotive Current Testers
MODELS: 5524 & 5525
Introduction
Fuse buddy Testers (models 5524 & 5525) can measure circuit amperage to 30A DC/AC. TESTING DURATION IS
LIMITED TO 10 SECONDS.

Operating Instructions
MODEL: 5524/5525
CAUTION: Do not test for longer than 10 seconds and do not test circuits over 30 Amps.
1. IMPORTANT! TESTING DURATION LIMITED TO 10 SECONDS! TAKE THE READING AND THEN TURN
OFF POWER TO THE CIRCUIT AFTER 10 SECONDS.
2. Identify circuit to be tested and locate circuit fuse at the fuse box.
3. Remove fuse from its receptacle.
4. Insert the removed fuse into the Fuse Buddy fuse jack.
5. Insert the Fuse Buddy pins into the open fuse receptacle of the circuit to be tested.
6. Switch ON the Fuse Buddy.
7. Your amperage measurements will be displayed on the Fuse Buddy display. The circuit amperage measurements
can be taken while the engine is running. TAKE THE READING AND THEN TURN OFF POWER TO THE CIRCUIT
AFTER 10 SECONDS.
Battery Replacement (Models: 5524, 5525)
Power is supplied by a 12 volt battery. (23A,VA23A,MS21/MN21). The “BAT” appears on the LCD display when
replacement is needed. To replace the battery, remove the one screw from the back of the Fuse Buddy and lift off
the front case. Remove the battery from battery contacts.
Warranty
months due to faulty material or workmanship, it will be replaced or repaired free of charge, at the
discretion of ES.

Defective units being returned to your distributor or to the factory should include proof of purchase date.
Any testers that do not function due to misuse or abuse will be subject to “out of warranty service
charges”.
This product is warranted to be free of defects for one year. If this product fails during the first 12
