The TEMS Symphony Suite is a set of geographically targeted Quality of
Service (QoS) benchmarking solutions for wireless network operators.
Providing voice, data, and video service measurements, these tools support
a wide range of test mobile phones and data cards. TEMS Symphony Suite’s
modular configuration allows easy installation and operation. The product
line is paired with our QVoice Presentation software for optimal post-
processing.
A three-tiered offering provides the right test tool for the task at hand,
with the flexibility to easily reconfigure when unexpected requirements
arise. The TEMS Symphony Suite measures 2G, 3G, and 4G cellular networks.

All three solutions use the QVoice software application, so the types
of tests, the ways of testing, and operations for the systems are exactly the
same.
QVoice Symphony and Symphony Multi are powerful and highly
scalable benchmarking systems that can handle up to 24 networks in all
major radio technologies. They handle a wide array of measurements from
both subscriber and engineering perspectives. Symphony Multi is specially
engineered for the US market.
QVoice Companion offers the same software and services as QVoice
Symphony, but on a smaller scale.

The TEMS Symphony Suite assesses network performance with respect to
transferring data and messages. There are test protocols for QVoice systems
including HTTP, FTP, UDP, WAP, SMS/MMS, Ping, and email.

IMPLEMENTING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES
New scanner options have been added for LTE covering international LTE
bands.
 PCTel B5 Scanner for LTE 700MHz upper and lower bands (US Markets)
- 1.4, 3, 5, and 10 MHz RX channel bandwidth
- Primary and secondary SYNC, SIR, Power, Ec/No, Cell ID
- Reference Signal A0 – A3

Support has been added for the new ITU-T voice quality testing standard
algorithm, POLQA/P.863. As networks move towards 4G, POLQA will provide
a new opportunity to benchmark the voice quality of competing mobile
technologies. POLQA capabilities include:
 Provides a technology update to the previous ITU-T testing standard,
PESQ/P.862.
 Is suitable for high definition voice, 3G, and 4G/LTE technologies.
 Provides a voice quality testing solution for fixed, mobile, and IP-based
networks.
 Enhances the accuracy of MOS measurements.
To accommodate the testing of new voice codecs like AMR-WB, a
wideband speech testing option has been added. Based on the POLQA
algorithm, the wideband speech option provides new speech samples which
are optimized for testing either narrowband speed (up to 3.2kHz) or wide-
band speech (up to 7kHz). Support has been added for several new devices,
including the Nokia C5.

The Samsung SCH-F339 is a CDMA 1X EVDO phone with R-UIM, for testing
voice and IP data at 800MHz.
In addition to these devices, support has been added for the Sierra
Wireless MC870, a PCIe Mini Module for testing GPRS or HSPA+ Quad Band
services.
