A. Fill the rinse aid dispenser
B. Fill in det ergent
Rinse Aid Dispenser
Th e rin se ai d is released during the final rin se to prevent water from forming droplets on your dishes, which can le av e spots and strea ks. It also improves drying by allowing w ater to roll off the dishes. Your dishw asher i s de si gned to us e liqui d rinse aids. The rinse aid dispenser is located inside the door next to the detergent d ispenser. To fill the dispenser, open the cap and po ur the rinse ai d into the dispenser until the level indicator turns complet el y bl ac k. The volum e of t he ri ns e aid cont aine r i s about 110ml.
Function of Rinse Aid
Rinse aid is auto matically added during the last r inse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and streak free drying.
Attention!
Only use branded rinse aid for dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substan ces
(e.g . Dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent). This would da mage the appliance.
When to Refill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
If ther e is no rinse-aid warning light in the control panel, you can judge the amount of rinse-aid by the color of the optical level indicator "C" lo cated next to the ca p. When the rinse-aid container is full, the whole in di cator will be dark .As the rinse-aid diminishes, the size of the dark dot de cr eases. You sho ul d never let the rinse aid get b el ow 1 / 4 full.
As th e rin se ai d diminishes, the size of the black dot on th e rin se ai d level in dicator changes, as illustrated below.
Full 3 / 4 full 1 / 2 full 1 / 4 full - Should refill to eliminate spotting Empty
How to fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
To open th e dis pe ns er, turn th e cap to the "open" (left) arrow and lift it out.
1
Pour th e rin se aid into the dispenser, bei ng careful not to overfill.
2
Re place the cap by ins erting it aligned w ith "open" arrow and t urning it to the closed (right) arrow.
3
Be ca re ful not to ov erfi ll th e dispenser, becau se this could cause over sudsin g. Wipe away any spi lls wi th a damp clo th. Don't forget to replace the ca p before you close dishwasher door.
At te nt ion! Cl ean up any ri ns e aid spill during filling with an absorbent cloth to avoid excess f oaming during the next wash.
Clean up a ny rinse ai d s pi lled while during fi ll ing with a n a bs orbent cloth to avoid excessive f oaming
during the next wash. Don't forget to replace the cap bef or e you cl ose dishwasher door.
Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser
The rinse aid dispen ser has si x or four s ettings. Alwa ys star t with the dispenser set on "4". If spots and poor drying ar e a prob lem, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by rem oving the dispenser li d and rotating the dial to "5". If the dishes still are not drying pr operly or are show spots, adjust th e dial to the next higher lev er unti l you r dishes are spot-fr ee . The recommend ed setting is "4". (Factory value is "4 ".)
Increase the dose if there are drops of water or li me spots on the dishes after wash ing. Re du ce it if there are sticky whitish stains on your dis he s or a bl uish film on glassware or knife blades.
Deterge nt s hav e chemical ingredient s that are necessa ry to remove di rt, crush dirt and transp or t it out of the dis hwasher. Mo st of the commerci al qu ality d etergents are sui table f or th is purpose.
Detergents
There are 3 sorts of detergent s
1.With phosphate and wi th chlorine
2.With phosphat e and wi thout chlori ne
3.Without phosp ha te and without chlorine
Normally new pulverised detergent is without pho sphate. Thus the water softener function of phosphate is not given. If det ergents without phosp hate are used in the case of hard water often white spots appear on dishes an d glasses. In this case please add more deter gent to reach better results . Detergents withou t chl orine do only bleach a little. St rong and coloured spot s will not be removed complete ly. In this case pleas e cho ose a program with a higher tempe rature.
Concentrated Detergent
Based on their chemical composition, dete rg ents can be split in two basic typ es :
Co nventiona l, al kaline deterge nt s with caustic com po ne nts Low alkaline concen trated detergent s wit h natural enzym es
The use of normal washing programs in combin at ion with concentrat ed detergents reduces pollutio n and is good for your dishes; these wash pr ograms are specifically matched
to the dirt-disso lving properties of the enzym es of th e concentrated de tergent. For this reason
normal wash prog rams in which concentrat ed detergents are used can achie ve the same
results that can other wise only be achieved usin g intensiv e programs.
Detergent Tablets
Detergent tablet s of different bra nds dissolve at differ ent speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot dissolve and devel op their full cleaning po we r during short programs. Th erefore please use long progr ams when using detergent tablets, to ensure the complete re moval of detergen t res iduals.
Detergent Dispenser
The dispenser mus t be refilled before the start of each wash cycle fol lowing the instructio ns provided in the wash cycle tab le . Your dishwa sh er uses less deterge nt an d rinse aid than Conventiona l dis hwasher. Genera ll y, only one tablespoo n of det ergent is needed for a normal wash load. More hea vily soiled items need more deterg en t. Always add the detergent just before st arting the dishwasher, ot herwise it could get damp and will not dissolve properl y.
Proper Use of Detergent
Use only detergent spe cifically made for the use in dishwas hers. Keep your detergent fre sh and dry. Don't put powdered deter gent into the dispense r until you're ready to wash dishes .
Adding detergent to dispenser
Fill in Detergent
Fill the detergen t dispenser with deter gent. The marking indic at es the dosing levels , as illustrated on th e right:
For main wash detergent.
A
For pre-wash dete rg ent.
B

If the dishes are heavily so il ed, place an additional detergent dose in the pre-was h detergent ch amber. This deterg en t will take effect duri ng the pre-wash phase.
If the lid is closed: push the latch to open. Always add the detergent ju st before startin g each wash cycle.
Only use branded det er gent and rinse aid for dishwasher.
You see information about the amount of dete rg ent for the single programm e on page 8. Please be aware that soiling levels and water hardness ca n effect wash results. Please observe the manufacturer's re commendatio ns on the detergent packa gi ng.
Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Take care to keep it out of reach of children.
