Four hours south of our plant in Thief River Falls, Minnesota,
you’ll fi nd the town of St. Cloud — home of the Arctic Cat engine
assembly plant. This is where we build the twin cylinder 1000 H2,
single cylinder 700 H1 and 550 H1. A full range of horsepower
includes fi ve midsize engines ranging from our 450 H1 on up
to the Big Bore twin cylinder 1000. All powermills feature the
4-valves-per-cylinder Pentroof Hemispherical
Combustion Chamber design.
SUPER DUTY DIESEL 700
The 686cc inline twin diesel is a
workhorse on the job and at play.
It runs on six different kinds of
fuel: DF1, DF2, DF-Arctic, JP5,
JP8 and Biodiesel. And as
you would expect, it’s
practically bulletproof.
On-the-fl y 2WD/4WD with a locking front differential
gets you out of sticky situations. The advanced
snorkel air-intake system breathes and cools at the

RIDE-IN SUSPENSION
To improve cornering, we lowered the center of
gravity. Feels great to sit in the machine instead of
on it. Ground clearance and suspension travel are
fantastic. Double A-arms prevent defl ections during
cornering. Steering is ultraresponsive. A rear sway
bar and softer spring rate provide a smoother ride.

Inspired by the exoskeleton design of sand rails,
the Wildcat’s chassis is built from high-strength
low-alloy steel, sporting a fi rst-class fullperimeter design. The full-perimeter frame is
