E-IDE DVD-ROM Quick Installation Guide
English
1. Turn off and unplug PC then remove cover.
2. Set the Master/Slave jumper on rear panel of
DVD-ROM.
A. Set the jumper to Master device if your
DVD-ROM is the only device which connect
to Secondary IDE port.
B. Set the jumper to Slave device if your
DVD-ROM will be connected to Primary
/Secondary IDE port.
3. Slide the DVD-ROM horizontally into the
empty bay and mount it.
4. Connect the E-IDE cable to DVD-ROM.
5. Connect the sound cable(if applicable).
6. Connect the 4-pole power cable to drive.
7. Close the PC cover, plug in then turn the
power on.
Do not use fragile disc, it may crack during high
speed reading.

1. Den PC ausschalten, dessen Netzstecker vom
Stromnetz abtrennen und das PC-Gehäuse
entfernen.
2. Die Master-/Slave-Steckbrücke auf der Rückseite
des DVD-ROM’s einstellen.
A. Den Überbrückungsstecker auf das
Master-Gerät einstellen, falls Ihr DVD-ROM das
einzige Gerät ist, welches an einen sekundären
IDE-Anschluß angeschlossen wird.
B. Den Überbrückungsstecker auf das Slave-Gerät
einstellen, falls sie an einen primären/sekundären
IDE-Anschluß angeschlossen wird.
3. Das DVD-ROM in ein unbenutztes Einbaufach
einschieben und befestigen.
4. Das E-IDE-Kabel an das DVD-ROM
anschließen.
5. Daa Soundkabel (falls vorhanden) anschließen.
6. Dann den 4poligen Stecker des Stromkabels an
das Laufwerk anschließen.
7. Das PC-Gehäuse wieder anbringen, den PC ans
Stromnetz anschließen und einschalten.
Verwenden Sie keine zerbrechlichen Disketten, da
diese bei einer hohen Drehgeschwindigkeit beim
Lesen beschädigt werden können.

1. Eteignez et débranchez le PC puis retirez le
capot.
2. Positionnez le cavalier Maître/Esclave sur la face
arrière du DVD-ROM.
A. Positionnez le cavalier sur périphérique Maître
si votre DVD-ROM est le seul périphérique
devant être connecté au port IDE Secondaire.
B. Positionnez le cavalier sur périphérique Esclave
si votre DVD-ROM doit être connecté au port IDE
Primaire/Secondaire.
3. Introduisez le DVD-ROM horizontalement dans
la baie vide et fixez-le.
4. Connectez le câble E-IDE au DVD-ROM.
5. Connectez le câble son (s’il y a lieu).
6. Connectez le câble d’alimentation à 4 branches
au lecteur.
7. Fermez le PC, branchez et allumez le PC.
N'utilisez pas de disque fragile, il pourrait se briser
pendant la lecture à haute vitesse.

1. Spegnere il PC, scollegare il suo cavo di
alimentazione dalla rete elettrica e rimuovere
la cassa del PC.
2. Impostare il jumper Master/Slave trovandosi

5. Collegare il cavo sound (se presente).
6. Poi collegare la spina da 4 perni del cavo di
alimentazione all;unità.
7. Rimettere la cassa del PC, ricollegare il PC alla
rete elettrica e accenderlo.
Non usare un disco fragile. Potrebbe spaccarsi
durante la lettura ad alta velocità.

1. Schakel uw PC uit, haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact en verwijder vervolgens de kap.
2. Stel de master/slave-jumper aan de achterkant
van de DVD-ROM in.
A. Stel de jumper in als Master indien uw
DVD-ROM als enige drive op de Secondaire
IDE port wordt aangesloten.
B. Stel de jumper in als Slave indien uw DVD-ROM
op de Primaire/ Secondaire IDE poort wordt
aangesloten.
3. Schuif de DVD-ROM horizontaal in de lege
schijfstationruimte en zet het vast.
4. Sluit de E-IDE-kabel aan op de DVD-ROM.
5. Sluit de geluidskabel aan (indien van
toepassing).
6. Sluit de 4-pins electriciteitskabel aan op de
drive.
7. Maak de PC weer dicht, steek de stekker in het
stopcontact en doe de PC aan.
Gebruik geen breekbare disks, deze zouden
gedurende het op hoge snelheid afspelen kunnen
barsten.

System Requirements
To ensure stable performance, an IBM compatible PC system with following features is recommended.
CPU : Pentium 166 MHz or higher
OS : Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME
Memory : 32MB minimum
Hard Drive : Minimum 30MB available capacity
Recommendation:
1. Connect DVD-ROM to the secondary IDE port first and enable DMA mode from Windows for
getting best system performance.
2. Refer system requirement from DVD decoding software manual when playing DVD movie.
3. User may reset the region of the DVD Drive 5 times and may have this 5 times resetting
capability re-established by an authorized service center an additional 4 times after purchase.
