General Installation Instructions
These instructions should be read carefully prior to any installation and retained after completion for further
reference and maintenance. Please give these instructions to the building owner/occupier after installation.
Important Safety
1. Before installation, maintenance or lamp replacement, ensure that the mains supply to the luminaire is switched off and the circuit
supply fuses are removed or the circuit breaker is turned off.
2. It is recommended that only a qualified electrical contractor carries out the installation of this luminaire and that the luminaire is
installed in compliance of the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations.
3. The person carrying out the installation is to check and verify that the total load on the circuit, including that of this luminaire an d
electronic transformer does not exceed the rating of the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker.

Installation
Locate the Driver in a well ventilated area free from any insulating materials or sources of heat.
Do not route the mains wiring along the side of the LED Driver.
Do not install more LED fittings on a single circuit that would exceed the current rating of the LED Driver.
Do not connect an LED Driver to the same circuit as an inductive load. This may cause damage when switching.
Driver is Constant Voltage therefore must be wired in parallel.
Connect Live and Neutral, driver is double insulated therefore does not need to be earthed, ensuring that the correct
Connect Constant Voltage LED luminaires in parallel.
Restore power supply and check for correct operation.

Maintenance:
1. Where applicable, it is important to ensure failed lamps are replaced immediately in order to prevent damage to the transformer.
2. Disconnect from the mains supply prior to high voltage circuit testing. Do NOT Megger test the installation with the transformer
connected to the circuit. If you are in doubt, please contact your equipment supplier or Ansell Lighting for further advice.
