The Nursery Unit complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. Caution: To maintain the compliance with the FCC’s and IC’s RF exposure guideline, install the Nursery
Unit at least 20 cm from ALL persons. The transmitter of this device must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

12. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
12.1 Heed all warn ings – Al l warnin gs on the

12. 2 Follow all instr uction s – All operating and use instructions shou ld be followed.
12. 3 Water and moist ure - D O NOT u se this apparatus near water. For example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundr y tub, in a wet environme nt or near a swimmi ng pool and the like. Care should be take n so that objec ts DO NOT fa ll ont o un its and tha t li qu id s ar e no t sp ill ed into either unit through its ope nings .
12.4 Cle aning - Disco nnect all un its before clean ing. DO NOT immerse in water any part of the monitor. Clean only with dry cloth.
12. 5 Ventilation - D O NOT block any ventilation op en ings. Allow for pro pe r venti latio n wh en uni ts are in use. D O NOT cover the Nu rsery Unit o r the Parent Unit with any obje ct such as a blanket. DO NOT place it in a drawer or in any locati on which would muffle the soun d or interfere with the normal flow of air.
12.6 Hea t source s - DO N OT install nea r any he at source s suc h as radiators, heat registers, stoves, TVs or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat . Heat can damage th e cas e or electrical parts.
12.7 Power cord protection - Protect the adapter’s power cord from being walked on or pi nched by furniture or other items – P ower supply cords shoul d be routed so that th ey are not li kely to be walked on or pinched by items upo n or again st the m, pay ing pa rticul ar attention to cords and plugs , convenience receptacl e, and the poi nt where they exit f rom the product . The soc ket outlet shall be ins talled near the eq ui pm e nt an d sha l l be ea si ly ac c es sib le. Ma ke su re to plug the adapter to the so cket outlet nearest to the equip ment and that is easily accessi ble. To disconnect from mains, unplug the adapter.
12. 8 Acce ssorie s - Onl y use at tachm ents/ accessories specified by the manufacturer. DO NOT place this produ ct on an unstable c art, stand, tri pod, bracket or table . The product m ay fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serio us dam age to the prod uct. Use ON LY with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. Any mounting of the prod uct should follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
12. 9 Unplug this appliance during lightning storms or w hen n ot us ed fo r lon g periods of time.
12.10 Ser vicing - DO NOT attem pt to servi ce this produ ct yourself as open ing or removing covers (except b attery doo r) may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazar ds.
12.11 Replacement parts - When replacement parts are r equ ire d, b e sure th e rep lacem ent par ts specified by the manufacturer have the same chara cteris tic as the original par t. Unauthorized substi tution may result in fire, electr ic shoc k or other haza rds.
12.12 Us age - This baby monitor is intend ed as an a id. I t is NOT a substitute f or responsible and proper adult supervision and should not be used as such. Use th is appliance ONLY for its intended use as de scribe d in this manua l.

12.13 Power Sou rces - Ope rate t his p roduct onl y from the ty pe of power source indica ted on the type plate of the adaptor. If you a re unsur e of the type of power supply to your home, consult your deale r or loca l powe r com pany.
12.14 Overloading - DO NOT ove rload wall outlet s, extens ion cords or integ ral conveni ence recept acles as this can result in a risk of fi re or electric shock.

13. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REL ATED TO USE OF B ATTERIE S
13.1 Use ONLY the typ e and size of batteries
speci fied in the owner’s manual . There is a risk of explosio n if batteries are repl aced with an incorrect type.

13.3 Cha rge the b attery for 9 hours prior to first use. Be sur e to have the monitor in the OFF po si ti o n du ri ng th is per io d. ON LY us e the ada pt ers included with your monitor.
13.4 DO NOT use these adapte rs with any other equipments.
13.5 When unplugging the adapter from the Nursery Unit, be sure it is switched to the OFF position. If it isn’t, th e unit will revert to battery mode if b atteries are installed .
13.6 DO NOT use rechar geable batte ries in the Nursery Unit. Use alkaline batteries ONLY.
13.7 DO NOT dispose b atterie s in fir e. They may ex pl od e. Ch eck w it h lo c al reg ul ati on s fo r p os si bl e special disposal instructions.
13.8 Exercise care in h andlin g b atteries in order not to shor t out the batterie s with conducting materi als su ch as rings , bra celets and keys. Overcharging, short circuiting, reverse charging, mutila tion, or incineration of batteries must be avoided to prevent one or more of the fo llowing occ urr enc es: rele ase o f toxi c materials , rel eas e of hydroge n and /or oxygen, g as an d rise in surfa ce temperature.
13.9 DO NOT attempt to rec harge bat teries provide d with or identifi ed for us e with this produ ct that are not inten ded to be char ged. The batterie s may leak corrosive electrolyte or explode.

13.10 DO NO T at te mpt to re ju ve na te th e ba tt eri es provide d with or identifi ed for us e with this product by heating them. Sudden release of battery elec trolyte may occur, causing burns or irrita tion to eyes or s kin.
13.11 If and when nece ssary, the batteries must be rep la ce d wi th ide nt ic al new on es o r eq ui va le nt (volts and size). If a batte ry to be replaced is conne cted with o ther batteries in series, replace the other batteries at the same time as well. DO NOT m ix old and new batter ies.
13.12 Re verse polarit y inst al la ti on o f th e ba tt eries in the end product mus t be avoided. Reverse inser tion of batteries can cause chargi ng, and that may re sult in le akage or explosio n.
13.13 Rem ove batteries from the Nur sery Unit if you store the p roduc t over 30 days becau se th e batteries could leak and damage the product.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequ ency energy and, if not installed and used in accordanc e with the instructi ons, may cause
harmf ul in terference to radio com munic ations .
14. 2 However, there is no guarantee that interference wil l not occur in a particular insta llation . If this equip ment does cause harmful in te rfe re nc e to rad io or tel ev is io n re cep ti on , wh ich can be determined by turning the e quipm ent OFF and ON, the use r is en courag ed to tr y to correct the inter ference by one or more of the following measures:

STEP 1 - CHARGING THE PARENT UNIT (9 HOURS)

1) Connect the adapter to the
Parent Unit and into an electrical outlet.
2) Charge the unit for 9 continuous hours (prior to first use).
NOTE:
To optimize your battery performance please refer to Battery Guidelines in the Troubleshooting section.
IMPORTANT
The Parent Unit uses a non-removable rechargeable lithium battery. DO NOT attempt to change it.

WARNING
STRANGULATION HAZARD.
Children have STRANGLED in cords.
• Keep adapter cords out of the reach of children (more than 1 meter away).
• Because of the serious strangulation risk to infants and toddlers, parents and caregivers should never place the Nursery Unit within 1 meter of a crib.
NEVER use extension cords with adapters. ONLY use the adapters provided. This product is not a toy. Never allow children to play with it.
STEP 2 - SETTING UP THE NURSERY UNIT

1) Remove the battery door and insert
3 AA Alkaline Batteries (not included).
2) Place the Nursery Unit at a minimum of 1 meter away from the crib.
3) Connect the adapter to the Nursery
Unit and into an electrical outlet.
4) Direct the angle of the camera toward the crib using the rotating dial.
NOTE:
The batteries maintain power supply in case of power outage.
