FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE WARNINGS AND THE INSTRUCTIONS
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH OR DAMAGES TO
THE PRODUCT.
THE SENSOR PAD FEATURE IS NOT FOR USE WITH ADULTS,
CHILDREN OR INFANTS OLDER THAN 24 MONTHS.
THE SENSOR PAD IS NOT INTENDED TO BE USED TO DETERMINE
IF BABY IS OUT OF THE COT.
WARNINGS
1. THIS PRODUCT CANNOT REPLACE RESPONSIBLE ADULT SUPERVISION.
This produ ct is desig ned to aid in the m onitoring o f your baby. When
using the m onitor, you must still prov ide the supervis ion necessary f or the
continue d safety of you r baby. Monito ring of prema ture babie s, or those
conside red to be at risk, sho uld always be car ried out under t he supervisi on
of a health pr ofessiona l. This monitor SHO ULD NOT be use d as a medica l
device, no r as a device to preve nt Sudden Infant De ath Syndrome (SIDS).
2. ALWAYS be sure to im mediately c heck on baby w henever an a larm
sounds.
3. DO N OT use monitor n ear water (such a s bath tub, sin k, etc.).

4. Kee p monitor AWAY from heat sources (su ch as stoves, radiator s, etc.).
5. ALWAYS place the N ursery Unit on a fla t surface i n an upright p osition
and allow fo r proper vent ilation. D O NOT place on so fas, cushi ons, bed s,
etc. which m ay block venti lation.
6. Thi s product i s NOT a toy. DO NOT allow ch ildren to play w ith it.
7. Th is produc t contains s mall part s. Adult as sembly req uired. Exe rcise
care when unpacking and assembling the product and keep small parts
away from chil dren.
8. Wh en using the m onitor, the room t emperatu re should be b etween
10°C and 4 0°C.

9. The W ireless Se nsor Pad ba ttery is a rep laceabl e Button Cel l Lithium
battery. O nly use the An gelcare® recommended replacement battery.
Danger of ex plosion if the wrong b attery is used or if re placed incorre ctly.
Refer to your u ser manua l for correc t battery i nstallati on. DO NOT sho rt
circuit sup ply termin als. Remove t he batteri es from your N ursery U nit
and Sens or Pad if prod uct is to be store d for an extended peri od of time.
Dispose of b atteries a ccording to yo ur local ord inances . The Button c ell
battery r epresent s a small par t and a choki ng hazard. A LWAYS keep all
batterie s away from chil dren.
10. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 H eed all warn ings – All war nings on the p roduct an d in the opera ting
instruc tions shou ld be adher ed to.
10.2 Follow all instru ctions – All o perating a nd use instr uctions s hould
be followed.
10.3 Water and moisture - D O NOT use this ap paratus ne ar water. For
example, n ear a bath tub , wash bowl, ki tchen sink , laundr y tub, in a wet
environm ent or near a sw imming po ol and the like . Care sho uld be taken
so that obje cts DO NOT fall onto u nits and that liquid s are not spilled into
either un it or Sensor P ad through i ts openin gs.
10.4 C leaning - D isconnec t all units b efore clea ning. DO NOT i mmerse in
water any par t of the monito r. Clean only wi th dry cloth .
10.5 Ventilation - DO NOT blo ck any ventilation o penings. Al low for proper
ventilatio n when units are in use . DO NOT cover the Nurser y Unit with any
object su ch as a blanke t. DO NOT plac e it in a drawer or in a ny location
which woul d muffle th e sound or in terfere with t he normal f low of air.
10.6 H eat sources - DO N OT install near a ny heat sources su ch as radiators ,
heat regis ters, stoves , TVs or other a pparatu s (includi ng amplifi ers) that
produce h eat. Heat c an damage th e case or ele ctrical p arts.
10.7 Ac cessorie s - Only use att achment s accessor ies specif ied by the
manufac turer. DO NOT pl ace this prod uct on an un stable ca rt, stand ,
tripod, b racket or ta ble. The pro duct may fa ll, causin g serious i njury to
a child or ad ult and ser ious damag e to the produ ct. Use ON LY with a
cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer
or sold with th e product . Any mounti ng of the produ ct should f ollow the

10.8 Servicing - DO NOT a ttempt to servi ce this produc t yourself as op ening
or removin g covers (except batte ry door) may exp ose you to dang erous

10.9 Replacement pa rts - When re placeme nt parts a re required , be sure
the repla cement par ts specif ied by the man ufactur er have the sam e
charac teristic as th e original p art. Una uthorized s ubstitutio n may result
in fire, el ectric sho ck or other ha zards.
10.10 Usage - Th is baby monitor is in tended as an aid . It is NOT a substitute
for respon sible and prop er adult supe rvision and s hould not be use d as such.
Use this ap pliance ON LY for its intende d use as desc ribed in this m anual.
10.11 O bject an d Liquid Entr y - NEVER p ush objec ts of any kind in to this
product t hrough casing slo ts as they may touch dan gerous voltage poi nts
or short o ut parts that cou ld result in a risk of f ire or electric s hock. NEVER
spill liqu id of any kind on t he produc t.
10.12 V ibration S ource - When th e Sensor Pa d is in use, DO N OT use
a bedside c rib, cot mobi le or other cot a ccessorie s that may prod uce
vibratio ns. Other s ources of vib rations may in clude fan s, washin g
machine s, loud mu sic, etc. Th ese source s of vibration m ay interfer e with
the performance of your Angelcare® monitor an d the alarm will not sou nd
if it continu es to detect any movement o ther than your baby’s . Be sure all
vibratio n sources are e liminated b efore usin g the monitor.
10.13 You may e xperienc e false alar ms for several r easons. T he
most comm on reason is th e Nurser y Unit has no t been turn ed OFF
after you ha ve removed your b aby from the cot . Another re ason is
the Senso r Pad has not be en placed u nder the mat tress prop erly.
Be sure the S ensor Pad is o n a flat, fir m surface wi th the Angel care® logo
side faci ng up. The sen sitivity lev el may also nee d to be adjus ted. Refer
to St ep 4.3. Al ways be sure to imm ediately ch eck on baby wh enever an
alarm sounds.
10.14 S ensor Pad - Your Sen sor Pad can be us ed in any cot that is st ationary.
If the cot has a s pring or slat bas e, place a hard bo ard between the c ot base
and the Sen sor Pad mea suring at le ast 33 x 33 cm an d 6 mm thick. O nly
use your Angelcare® monitor in a s tationar y sleepin g environme nt such
as a cot where th e Sensor Pad can rest o n a complete ly flat, fir m surface .
The Senso r Pad is made of plasti c and does not permi t the air to circulate.
Therefor e, mildew b uild up co uld develo p under neath the m attres s in the Sen sor
Pad area. We s uggest rotatin g the mattress re gularly to preve nt any mildew.
11. I MPORTANT SAFE TY INSTRUC TIONS REL ATED TO USE OF BATTER IES
11.1 U se ONLY the type and size of b attery speci fied in the owner ’s manual.
There is a ris k of explosio n if battery i s replaced w ith an incorr ect type.
11.2 DO NOT use recharg eable bat teries in the N ursery U nit. Use alk aline
ba tt er ie s O NLY.
11.3 DO NOT dispose bat teries in fire. They may e xplode. Check with l ocal
regulati ons for poss ible speci al disposa l instruc tions.
11.4 Exercise care in ha ndling batte ries in order no t to short out the b atteries
with condu cting material s such as rings, b racelets and keys . Overchargin g,
short ci rcuiting, reve rse charg ing, mutil ation, or in cineratio n of batteri es
must be avoid ed to prevent on e or more of the f ollowing oc currence s:
release of tox ic material s, releas e of hydrogen an d/or oxygen, g as and
rise in sur face tempe rature.
11.5 DO NOT attempt to reju venate the battery p rovided with or iden tified
for use with th is product by h eating the m. Sudde n release of ba ttery
electro lyte may occur, c ausing bur ns or irritat ion to eyes or ski n.
11.6 If and when neces sary, the bat tery must b e replaced w ith identic al
new ones or e quivalen t (volts and size).
11.7 Reverse polarity i nstallat ion of the batt eries in the e nd produc t must
be avoided . Reverse inse rtion of bat teries ca n cause cha rging, an d that
may result in l eakage or ex plosion.
11.8 Remove the batter y from this produ ct if you store the pro duct over 30
days because the battery could leak and damage the product.
11.9 Discard ‘dead’ b atteries as soon as p ossible since ‘dea d’ batteries are
more likely t o leak in a product. I f a battery has lea ked or vented, it sho uld
be replac ed immedia tely using pr otective glove s.
11.10 DO NOT store this produ ct, or the batter y provided with or id entified
for use with th is produc t, in high-te mperatur e areas.

1.1 - INSERT THE BATTERIES
When using the Nursery Unit for the first time, you will need to insert 2 AAA alkaline
batteries (not included).
