IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: Read all instructions before using the Andis Lather Machine.
7. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
8. To disconnect switch machine OFF then remove plug from outlet.
9. This machine has a grounded plug. Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This machine has a grounded plug. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with an appropriate grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
DANGER: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a
risk of electric shock. If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the grounding wire to either flat-blade terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the grounding wire. Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if in doubt as to whether the appliance is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided; if it will not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounding plug (Figure A). A temporary adapter (Figures B & C) may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle (Figure B) if a
this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by Andis.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to an Andis Authorized Service Station for examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
6. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

properly grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (Figure A) can be installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet-box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.

8. Wait approximately 15 minutes for the machine to become warm. It will then be ready for use.
9. Press and hold the push button on top of machine to dispense desired amount of lather.
USER MAINTENANCE
Other than the recommended maintenance described in this manual, no other maintenance should be performed, except by Andis Company or an Andis Authorized Service Station.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pour out remaining liquid in reservoir after each use.

2. Clean the reservoir 2-3 times a month by using a lint-free paper towel or cloth to wipe out the inside.
3. Clean the outside of the machine with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the following instructions before using your new Andis Lather Machine. Give it the care that a fine precision built instrument deserves and it will give you years of service. Operate at 120 volt, 60 cycle AC electrical current or as noted on the machine.
SET-UP AND USE
1. Place the machine on a flat, clean surface where it will not move during use.
2. Remove lid.
3. Pour warm water into the water reservoir until it is 1/8" (3 mm) below top.
4. Add Andis Liquid Shave Cream Concentrate, using amount indicated in instructions on bottle. Do NOT overfill. OVERFILLING may damage the machine and void the warranty.
5. Mix concentrate and warm water. Do not mix with a shaving brush – loose bristles may clog the machine.
6. Concentrate and water may also be mixed ahead of time in separate container in larger quantity - see instructions on bottle).
7. Plug the power cord into power outlet. Turn power switch ON. The green power indicator light on the switch will turn on.

1. Never immerse the machine in water.
2. Run the machine at least once a month. If you have not used your machine for a long time, check it carefully before use.
3. Use only Andis Liquid Shave Cream Concentrate. Using other products may affect performance and void the warranty.
4. Do not use any chemicals to clean the outside of the machine.
5. Always unplug the machine after use.
FACTORY REPAIR SERVICE
If your Andis Lather Machine needs servicing, it should be carefully packed and mailed either Parcel Post Insured, or U.P.S. to any Andis Authorized Service Station. Caution: Never handle your Andis Lather Machine while you are operating a water faucet, and never hold your machine under a water faucet or in water. There is danger of electrical shock and damage to your machine. Andis
Company will not be responsible in case of injury due to this carelessness.
