OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, the plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. As an added safety feature, this brush will automatically shut off after 30 minutes.

2. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.

This Andis heated brush is capable of high temperatures which are effective for styling thick, coarse hair.
This high-heat capability requires special care when using the highest temperature settings.
We recommend to test on a lower setting and gradually adjust to a higher setting – only if you do not achieve your preferred results.
NOTE: Use of higher than necessary temperatures can damage your hair.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
The styling temperature will depend on your hair’s texture and condition. Generally, for fine, bleached or hair in poor condition, use low setting (1). For normal hair, use high setting (2). Once your brush reaches the temperature you select, it maintains it all through styling.
CAUTION: Extreme care should be used when using this appliance on damaged, relaxed or color treated hair.
TO USE YOUR ANDIS HEATED BRUSH
1. Shampoo, rinse, condition and towel dry hair.
2. Blow dry hair until completely dry.
3. Part hair into sections. Sections should equal one-half the length of the brush
and one-half the depth of the brush.
4. Rest brush on its back on a smooth, flat surface. To pre-heat your Andis brush,
plug into an electrical outlet. (Please refer to the Operating Instructions section of this manual for more detail).
5. Slide the power button from the OFF (0) position to your desired temperature.
• When selecting the LOW setting (1), the RED power indicator light will flash as the brush heats up. When the brush reaches the selected temperature, the power indicator light will stop flashing and remain RED.
• When selecting the HIGH setting (2), the BLUE power indicator light will flash as the brush heats up. When the brush reaches the selected temperature, the power indicator light will stop flashing and remain BLUE.
6. Grasp a section of hair and hold away from the scalp. Insert the heated brush
into the hair section close to the scalp. The front of the brush features the heated plates to style hair, so hold the section of hair firmly against the front of the brush.
Caution: Do not let the heated brush touch your bare skin or scalp. Burns may result. Do not use brush with aerosol or other flammable hair products.
7. Slowly turn the brush away from you and move it through the entire hair strand until the hair ends pass through the tines.
8. Repeat procedure throughout all sections of hair until entire head is complete.
9. Slide the power button to the OFF (0) position and allow brush to cool.
USER MAINTENANCE
This appliance does not require special maintenance, cleaning or lubrication. If brush does not get hot, return for servicing. Service only through Andis authorized service stations. To find an Andis authorized service station near

Untwist cord before use. After use, allow unit to cool, re-wrap cord and store in a safe place. Do not wrap cord around appliance. Do not hang the unit by the power cord.
TO CLEAN
Keep surfaces free of dust, dirt, and hair products. Unplug brush and allow to cool completely. Wipe the brush with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
