Temperature Probe Series
Application and Descriptions

INTRODUCTION

The Temperature Probe Series consists of thermocouple sensors. The models are designed for specific measurement
applications such as liquids, solids, gases and surfaces (see reverse side). These probes are designed to operate with
Amprobe temperature sensing multimeters, or the Amprobe Model TC-253C Temperature /Voltage Converter DMM
accessory.

THERMOCOUPLE PROBES

Probes use Type K (chromel-alumel) thermocouple sensors for a wide temperature range. Five models are available
for specific applications (see reverse side). All probes use a standard compensated mini-connector for attachment
directly to the meter or MH101KA Probe Handle. Accuracy is rated at ±1°C, ±2°F, or 0.4% of reading, whichever is
greater.

Note: When using with multimeters, thermocouple plug must be unplugged for direct voltage, resistance, or
current measurements.

Limited Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Your Amprobe product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not
cover fuses, disposable batteries or damage from accident, neglect, misuse, alteration, contamination, or abnormal conditions of operation
or handling. Resellers are not authorized to extend any other warranty on Amprobe’s behalf. To obtain service during the warranty period,
return the product with proof of purchase to an authorized Amprobe Test Tools Service Center or to an Amprobe dealer or distributor. See
Repair Section for details. THIS WARRANTY IS YOUR ONLY REMEDY. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES - WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STAUTORY ­INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR MERCHANTABILITY, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED. MANUFACTURER

DESCRIPTION

Master Probe

Extension Probe Handle Type K T/C.
Includes 1 ft of 4:1 expandable cable (48”).
For use with TP110K, 120K, and 130 K Probes.

Immersion Probe

A general purpose immersion sensor with
grounded junction for fast response. Stainless
steel sheath. For use with Model MH101K
Probe Handle.

Surface Probe

Heavy Duty, fast response sensor for surface
measurements of hot plates, furnaces, molds,
etc. Stainless steel sheath.
For use with Model MH101K Probe Handle.

Air Probe

Exposed junction air sensor with radiation
protection shield. Suitable for all air/gas
measurements. For use with MH101K Probe
Handle.
