1218 Door Assembly Instructions
Part #MF3522, MF3515, CF13, CF3519, MF3522-B, MF3519,
MF3519-BRNKL
For all Countryside, 6500 & 7500 units
• Turn off unit
• Remove existing door (may need to use rubber mallet to tap
upwards to remove)
• insert door onto the 2 hinge pins
NOTE: The top and bottom hinge pins can be moved in or out to adjust the amount of pressure on
the rope gasket when the door is closed. They also balance the gasket pressure between the left and
right sides. The top hinge pin can be moved left or right to adjust the centering of the rope gasket
on the door frame
The following 4 tests check the door alignment and pressure
• The 1st test described in the photo below, gives a visual
indication that the pressure will be fairly even across the door.
This is a approximate measurement but will give you a quick
idea if the hinge pins need to be adjusted.
As you close the door,
the gasket on the hinge
side should start to
compress against the
left frame...
…when the end
of the latch bolt
is slightly past
the edge of the
right frame.

• The 2nd test confirms that the pressure is strong enough to provide a tight seal.
Cut photocopy grade paper into a 5060 mm x 200 - 250 mm strip. Insert
the strip at top, close door and attempt
to remove. The paper must be tightly
held and cannot be pulled out. The
pressure must be such that the paper
will tear before it slides out.
Repeat at side left, side right, and
bottom center.
• The 3rd test confirms that the rope gasket is adequately centered on the doorframe when the door is
latched tight
Chalk the doorframe as
shown and then latch
the door tight to
transfer the chalk from
the doorframe to the
• The 4th test is a final check to make sure the door is not tilted. Measure the distance between the top of the
doorframe and the bend in the faceplate. Then measure between the bottom
The difference between the 2 measurements must be 2 mm or less.
of the doorframe and the bend in the faceplate
