NOTES

z Under the transmission case at the front of the mixer

head is the gear hosing cover. At the center is the
planetary bearing retainer. To the above is the
transmission and worm gear retainer. The alignment
dowels next to the screws that secure the planetary
cover.

z The transmission case is filled a special grease that

will last for several years. When grease is needed for
replacement, it should be ordered from us.

z If you are replacing broken or badly worn parts

discard all the lubricant.

z Grease the upper ball bearing then carefully work

them into place. The bearings on

oth shafts must be

installed with the open sides down.

z Be sure that Cover Plug (5) is tightening in the hole.

z Be sure to install correct position (see Figure 2-1) and

lubricate all of the pins in the sleeve drive when
reassembling.

z Clutch (11) must always be raised and lowered

smoothly. Be sure clutch sleeve as shown in Figure 2­2

z Check oil seal (17), if serious oil leaks from drip cup.

z If the motor does not work, first verify the power

source and connection. Next, check for damaged or
faulty wiring or connections inside the mixer. A non­working motor may be the result of inappropriate
voltage, broken wires, a defective capacitor, or a
defective centrifugal governor. Motor damage may
also be caused by bowl overload during mixing.

z Motor set includes motor shaft (4), rotor (19) and

stator (6).

z It is not necessary to open the gear case unless a

change of gears (worm and worm gear is needed)

z To replace the motor, first install the stator in the

machine head and secure in place.

z Standard, #12-sized hub attachment are installed into

the hub shaft by first loosening the hub plug

thumbscrew, and removing the hub plug. Install the
hub attachment and rotate slightly until it locks into
place. Then tighten the thumbscrew to secure the

attachment. Reverse the procedure to remove the
attachment. For safety, the hub plug must always be
installed and secured with the thumbscrew when the
hub is not in use. Chopper attachment should be
operated in 3

speed.

z Power off to avoid serious personal injury when

removing or mounting attachments.

z Do not put hand into feed opening of chopper when

operating.

Check O ring (7) or oil baffle (1), if serious oil leaks

without opening the Transmission case.

z An oil leak from the bottom of the planetary head

means the oil seal on the bottom of the mixing shaft
is damaged and must be replaced.

z To remove the mixing shaft from the planetary

z Any agitator is easily installed by simply raising it

onto the mixing shaft, and then rotating it clockwise
until it locks into place. To remove, raise the agitator
on the shaft until it clears the lock, and then rotate
counter-clockwise and lower.

z All of tools are precisely fitted to the bowl, rounded

corners and easily removable for cleaning.

z Always check clearance between flat beater and

bowl. Beater should clear the bowl bottom by 3-5
mm. (see figure 12-1)

NOTES

z Lower the bowl and remove the bowl and agitator

before replacing bowl support.

z Clean the bowl lift slider bars and lubricate lightly

with mineral oil monthly.

z Adjust bowl height by screw (7), but loose nut (4)

first. (see Figure 10-1)

z A new casting will fit with the old bowl support.
z The bowl Height adjusting screw can be adjusted to

increase or decrease bottom clearance.

z The bowl Height adjusting screw can be reached from

elow with a long screwdriver. Turn right for increase

clearance. Turn left for reduced clearance.
