Reliable Digital Video Recorders

The ADTVR series of recorders offers three
different models that provide high-quality
performance in a DVR and offer a model
ideal for any business.

Today’s DVR users demand better
performance and more features from
their DVR system. ADTVR-VS4 delivers
high-quality recording, long storage times,
remote access, and alarm reporting with
professional remote monitoring, also known
as Central Station monitoring.

Local and Remote Operation

Whether you use the front panel controls
or prefer to use a mouse, the recorder’s
user interface allows full control from the
front of the recorder. Remote operation and
administration of the ADTVR-VS4 is easy
using Internet Explorer. You can also install
the included Remote Client software to view
cameras from more than one VS4 device on
the same screen. Maintain and monitor up
to 256 units from a single client workstation.

Central Station Monitoring

The power of the VS4 is enhanced when
used with professional remote monitoring.
In addition, the VS4 is ready to use and
compatible with both Mastermind and
SureView (Immix) software platforms.

Security Management

You can set specific privileges and
permissions for each person using definable
user profiles: top-level administration
and low-level guest profiles are provided.
Permissions for individual actions can be
easily defined at a detailed level, such as
which cameras can be remotely viewed,
replayed, or exported.

Detailed logging with powerful query
options include recording of system activity,
software operation, alarm, and remote
device operation.

Privacy Masks

In today’s crowded world, privacy masking
is an essential feature. The VS4 offers up
to four privacy masks per camera input,
to prevent accidental viewing of sensitive
material such as someone typing their code
at an ATM or viewing private meetings
through a conference room window.

Alarms

The VS4 offers multi-zone motion detection
for each camera input as well as hard-wired
alarm inputs and outputs. In response to an
alarm, the ADTVR-VS4 can send a camera
to a pre-set position, pop-up the live
preview image and send an email attaching
a sequence of snapshots from the alarm.

Advanced, Embedded Technology

The VS4 in an embedded DVR, making it
very reliable. Applications are contained
(embedded) in the software, specifically
manufactured to work as a DVR. The
advantages of an embedded DVR includes
reliability and stability, since there are no
moving parts, making for a stable software
platform. The VS4 offers the latest in
technologies such as H.264 compression, a
Linux kernel OS and DSP chipset.

The VS4 can easily be added to an existing
TCP/IP network as DHCP, DNS, DDNS
and NTP are fully supported. Built-in
PPPoE capability allows the ADTVR-VS4 to
directly connect to a broadband line as an
alternative.

Every ADTVR-VS4 digital video recorder is
compatible with both the Mastermind and

Instant Playback

Instant playback allows you to promptly
select and view recently recorded video
footage. Rapid access to recorded video
for selected cameras allows you to quickly
assess critical events. By removing layers
of menus, you can be more proactive in
responding to incidents.

Utilize the ADTVR Go mobile app to view
live cameras across multiple ADTVR
series devices, bookmark popular
2x2 multi-camera layouts, save image

H.264 Video Compression

The ADTVR series of digital video
recorders utilize the efficient H.264 video
compression technology to reduce network
bandwidth requirements and storage costs,
as compared to the traditional MJPEG and
MPEG-4 video standards.

Advanced Dual Stream Technology

Dual Steam technology is used to record
high-resolution video locally. The VS4 can
transmit sub stream resolution over a
network, while using less bandwidth.

Sub stream provides high-quality viewing
from remote, web and mobile client
devices. This is commonly utilized in retail
and small business applications with limited
network bandwidth.

Genuine Pentaplex

The ADTVR-VS4 digital video recorder
operates five key functions simultaneously
without affecting the frame rate:

• Playback of up to four
channels simultaneously

Work Remotely

The web browser interface allows a
remote connection to the ADTVR-VS4
providing control of key functions such
as Live Preview, Search & Playback,
Archiving, PTZ Control, Two-way Audio,
Configuration, Event Log function, and
User Management.

Full administrators are able to flash
firmware and re-boot using a remote
connection.

Remote Client Software

Every American Dynamics ADTVR-VS4
is compatible with our free central
monitoring Remote Client software. Perfect
for multi-site operations, Remote Client
software allows users to connect, view and
operate up to 64 cameras simultaneously,
creating a central station capable of
monitoring up to 256 units from one
computer.

Lock and Unlock Critical Footage

Video relating to specific events can be
locked and unlocked allowing critical
events to be retained.

Quickly Select Video Clips for Export

Within the instant playback function, a user
can easily select the segment of video
pertaining to the critical event for export
during playback. By removing layers of
menus, ease of use is improved.

Real-time Recording

ADTVR-VS4 can record 30ips (NTSC)
at 2CIF resolution across all channels,
or 12ips at full 4CIF resolution across all
channels.

Channel recording parameters can be
programmed individually to achieve a
balance between the quality of footage,
internal storage available, and the number
of channels in use at any one time.

Archiving

Video footage can be archived to a USB
flash drive, external HDD, or a PC through
Remote Client or web browser. Use the
ADTVR Go mobile app to access live video
and save still images to your iPhone, iPad
or Android phone.

Extensive Monitor Support

Main monitor output is available as either
BNC or VGA (XGA, 1024 x 768) on all
ADTVR-VS4 models. Simultaneously view
Main VGA, Multi-Camera CVBS1 (2x2), and
Alarm Spot CVBS2 (1x1) video outputs.

DVR System Health Check

ADTVR-VS4 has the ability to self monitor
and raises alarms when hard drives are
nearly full or an error is detected. It also
checks for network cable connections, IP
address conflicts, and signals any illegal
login attempts. A user can be notified of
any alarm through email.

Activity Log Preview

An itemized activity log providing a
chronological list of events allows you to
quickly view recorded events in a preview
window. A robust query tool helps save
time when scrolling through transactions.

Seamless PTZ Camera Integration

ADTVR-VS4 is compatible with multiple
telemetry protocols including AD RS-422,
Pelco D and Pelco P. From the Remote
Client software, you can easily control PTZ
cameras using a DirectX compatible USB
joystick.

Point of Sale Interface

The ADTVR-VS4 supports a text interface
enabling the recorder to be connected to
Point-of-Sale (PoS) devices. This enables the
recording, playback and viewing of up to 4
PoS devices from a single ADTVR-VS4 unit.
Users can set-up alarms for specific text
associations, or use advanced 3rd party data
mining software to minimize internal theft.

A USB mouse connected to ADTVR-VS4
allows very fast and simple navigation
through the on-screen display.

Upload from USB Drive

parameters can be saved to a USB drive
for backup, or uploaded to other units that
require identical settings.

Remote connection

ADTVR-VS4 can be configured and
managed remotely using a LAN/WAN link.

IR Remote Control

The IR remote control is a convenient way
