1. INTRODUCTION

independent channels with separate protection system
DC, infrasonic, overheat & short circuit protection
Smart-designed protection system for auto re-operation after fault
Parallel-input: channel 1 to channel 2, channel 3 to channel 4, channel 5 to channel 6, channel 7 to channel 8
Allowing selection of Stereo, Bridge or parallel operation
Ultra low-noise and hum High-pass filter , allow selection of flat, 35 Hz or 75Hz, protect speakers and prevent speaker transformer saturation
with minimal effect on program material.
DIP switch control for clip limit, high-pass filter, bridge-mono stereo selections
AUTO variable- speed-low-noise fans ensure high reliability even under demanding conditions.
Detachable Euroblock: " Barrier strip" input connectors.

7. TEST PROCEDURE

7). AC protector
1. Initialize:
1) The Power switch turns OFF.
2) Connect the Power cord to AC protector.
3) The Output of frequency converter is 230V/50Hz; turn off all the push
switches.
2. Turn on the Power switch, the blue power LED and PROT LED will
illuminate, and other LEDs don’t illuminate, 2~5 seconds after turning on the
unit, the PROT LED will extinguish.
3. Mono Channel Output Test: With 4 loads at the Output terminal, input
1KHz/0.6dBu±0.25dBu signal, then rotate corresponding VRs to maximum,
the output will reach to 207W±5W, at this time, the distortion should be less
than 1%. The S/N of CH1 should be higher than 85dB, and the S/N of other
channels should be higher than 90dB. When rotating the VR from minimum
to maximum, with the increase of VR, the SIG LED will become
well-illuminated, when the power is full, the CLIP LED illuminates slightly,
and the output waveform will appear cut-off distortion.
4. LIMITER Test: Go on the step 3, when the “1”of push switch is at the “ON”

190W±5W, the distortion should be less than 1%(When test the LIMIT CLIP,
set “1”(on push switch)of the CH1/CH3/CH5/CH7 to “ON” position, set
“10”(on push switch)of CH2/CH4/CH6/CH8 to “ON” position). When doing
the third and fourth step test, the post can not appear protection
phenomenon.
5. Short Circuit Protection Test: When full power output, the short circuit output
terminal and the post relay should open within 1~ 7 seconds and also should
close 1~3 seconds later, the PROT LED and CLIP LED will change with the
relay from brightly to extinguish.
6. Noise Test: Connect a 4 load, and set the VR to maximum, the Hum or

7. Filter Test: Set the push switches to FILTER ON and 75Hz FILTER positions
(“2” turn on and “3” turn off), set the TIME/DIV knobs of oscilloscope to 10ms
position, and set the VOLTS/DIV knobs to 0.5mV position. Input 125Hz/0dB
signal, adjust VR of the test fixture and input signal, make sure the output is
5dB, and then adjust the input signal to 75Hz, at this time, the output is
2dB±0.5dB. Recover the input signal to 125Hz/0dB; set push switch to 35
Hz FILTER position (“2” turn on and “3” turn off), adjust the output signal to
35Hz, the waveform Vp-p will become smaller, at this time, the output is
2dB±0.5dB. (When test the LIMIT CLIP, set “2” and “3”(on push switch)of
CH1/ CH3/CH5/CH7 to “ON” position, set “8” and “9”(on push switch)of
CH2,CH4,CH6,CH8 to “ON” position)
8. Other Mono channel output tests, please repeat step 3~7(CH2~CH8).
9. Parallel Connection Output Test: Input 1KHz/0dB signal from CH1 and CH3,
and CH2 and CH4 without input signal, then set VRs of CH2 and CH4 to
maximum, CH2 and CH4 have no output signal, turn on the”4”, ”5”, “6”of
push switches, PAR LED of the panel illuminates, rotate VRs of CH2 and
CH4, then can see the output waveform of CH2/CH4.
10. As for other parallel connection output tests(CH5~CH8)﹐please repeat the
step 8(Note: CH1 and CH2, CH3 and CH4, CH5 and CH6, CH7 and CH8
can parallel connection only).
11. Bridge Output Test: Set the “7”of push switch to “ON” position, the BRDG
LED of the panel lights up; the positive pole of load should be connected
with the positive pole of CH1 output terminal, the negative pole of load
should be connected to the positive pole of CH2 output terminal. Input 1
KHz/0dBu±0.2dBu signal from CH1, turn the VR of CH1 to maximum, VR
of CH2 to minimum, with 8 loads at the output terminal, the output should
be 410W±5W, and the distortion should be less than 1%.
12. Other bridge connection output tests(CH~CH8) are the same with the
step 10(Note: CH1 and CH2, CH3 and CH4, CH5 and CH6, CH7 and CH8
can bridge connection only).
13. Fan Test: when turning on the unit, the fan will move around slowly, then
use the blower to heating R1_54, the fan will accelerate gradually till top
speed.
14. Cut off the input signal of all channels, the standby power consumption is
less than 85W.
15. Figure 1[When signal is 35Hz or 75Hz (switch”2”, ”3” and “8”, ”9”of the
push switch), the output range will decrease 3dBu±0.5dBu].
