Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The c olor video-interc om monitor st ation(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ QwikBUS™ VHC3033-

2X series, 2-wire type or approved equal. Monitor(s) shall be

mounted surfac e (or desktop using optional model T Z30-XX X series
adapter). Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 4.0" c olor LCD
screen. Monitors using mirrors or other non-flat type screens, or
coaxial cable shall not be ac ceptable. Monitor(s) shall feature
front mounted controls for brightness, contrast and horizontal
hold. Monitor handset shall feat ure elect ret c ondenser microphone
for except ional voice fidelity. Handsets that include carbon
transmitter or other voice technologies shall not be
accept able. Handset shall have a textured finish and flexible coiled
cord. Handset shall include a door release (KEY SY MBOL)
button. Push button shall be clearly visible and shall be marked in
a different color. Handset shall feat ure an electronic c hime
signal, with a 2nd chime sound for optional privat e door bell
signaling. Monitor shall be in White (VHC3033-2W), Anthracite
Black (VHC3033-2A),or Titanium (VHC3033-2T) finish, as select ed
by architect or building owner/manager.

Contract or shall observe all local and national electrical
and building codes.

VHC3033-2 Series Video-Intercom Monitors

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T.R.™ VHC3033-2X QwikBUS™
series 2-wire c olor monitors are designed to meet virtually any
requirement for video-intercom security, while not requiring any
riser c oaxial cabling, or any selective (home-run) wiring.

These att ractive monitors are c onveniently surfac e mounted right
on the wall. Monitors can be changed to desk mount with the
addition of an opt ional model T Z30-XXX series desk adapter.

All VHC3033-2X series QwikBUS™ monitors feature a c rystal clear

4.0" c olor LCD flat screen monitor (measured diagonally), textured
finish handset (to minimize sc ratc hes and fingerprints), elec tronic
chime signaling, flexible coiled c ord and one (1) moment ary door
release button switc h. VHC3033-2X series QwikBUS™ monitors are
available in White (model VHC3033-2W), Anthracite (model

VHC3033-2A), or T itanium (model VHC3033-2T) finish, and can be

intermixed in the same system as the VFS1000 and/or VFS1500
open voice QwikBUS™ monitors.
