Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The video-intercom monitor station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® / S.T.R.™ VH30K (residential/commercial) or

VH30AK (apartment house) type. Monitor(s) shall be mounted

surface (or desktop using optional model TZ30WH adapter).
Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 4.0" flat screen. Monitors
using mirrors or ot her non-flat type screens shall not be
accept able. Monitor(s) shall feat ure front mounted controls for
brightness, contrast and horizontal hold Monitor handset shall
feature electret c ondenser microphone for exceptional voice
fidelity. Handset s that include c arbon transmitt er or other voice
tec hnologies shall not be ac ceptable. Handset shall have a
textured finish and flexible c oiled cord. Handset shall inc lude a door
release (KEY SY MBOL) butt on and auxiliary (DOT) push button.
Push buttons shall be clearly visible and shall be marked in a
different c olor. Handset shall include an adjustable volume AC
buzzer (or optional R2007 AlphaTone™ chime adapt er).

VH30K / VH30AK B&W Video-Intercom Monitors

The AlphaCommunications®/S.T.R.™ VH30K (residential /
commercial) and VH30AK (apartment house) series monitors are
designed to meet virtually any requirement for video- intercom
security.

These att ractive monitors are c onveniently surfac e mounted right
on the wall. Monitors can be changed to desk mount with the
addition of a model TZ30 series desk adapter.

All VH30K / VH30AK series monitors feature a crystal clear

4.0" black and white flat screen monitor (measured diagonally),
textured finish handset (to minimize sc ratches and fingerprints),
elect ric buzzer signalling (adjustable), flexible coiled cord and two
(2) momentary button switc hes.These switches can be used for
door release or other signalling functions, depending upon system
configuration. T he VH30K (residential/commercial) monitors feature
a front- mounted 'ON' button to t urn the monitor on without being
called from an entrance panel.

With the addition of a low- cost Model R2007 AlphaTone™
chime adapter, you c an easily c hange t he electric buzzer t o a
modern warble chime t one sound.

All dimensions shown are out side dimensions for
the surface type monitor+handset, less t he
coiled c ord.

Receiver: 50mm round, 45 ohms, Model HK1.

Microphone: Electret Condenser Type Model MK1-95.

(1) with Door Opener (KEY) symbol and (1)
spare (Dot)

Flush Back
Box:

Model VBB. 7.13"W (182mm) x 4.38"H (112mm) x

2.75"D (70mm) wall opening. OPTIONAL. May be
used for rough-ins.

Desk Adapter:

Model TZ30WH (White). Use in addition to the
monitor unit. OPTIONAL.
