Intercom/Emergency Stations

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T.R.™ VFSE1500X QwikBUS™
Series stat ions are designed to work as an apartment type open
voice video-intercom station and with Emergency signaling
capabilities, using a minimal of wiring, when used in conjunct ion
with our AlphaEntry™ (v3.0 or later) software and/or hardware. All

VFSE1500X stat ions in a building can be wired on only two (2)

common (loop) wires! The QwikBUS™ system can support hundreds
of VFSE1500X st ations on a single system. Choose from White and
five (5) ot her decorator inspired finishes.

These att ractive and trim video- intercom stat ions easily surface
mount right on t he finished wall, or can flush mount over a
model UMV1000 flush plastic housing, with model HWB mounting
screws. Stations c an be c hanged to desk mount with the addition
of a model TZ- VFS (White) desk adapter.

All VF SE1500X series QwikBUS™ stations select able electronic tone
signaling, Voice On, Door Release, Call Volume, Call Down and four
(4) momentary button switc hes (marked '1', '2', '3' and '4').

When used with an AlphaEntry™ interface, these switc hes can be
used for additional door release, or other signaling functions,
depending upon system configuration. All VFSE1500X series have
the ability t o c onnect t o an optional model ECD2 dual input wiring
harness connector, which allows easy local connect ion to
Emergency, Smoke, Pendant or other dry contac t signaling inputs.

Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The 2- Wire open voice video-interc om/emergency station(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ QwikBUS™ VFSE1500X in (White,
Titanium, 24K Gold Plated, Crystal Glass, Stainless Steel or Anthracite) c olor. St ation(s) shall be mounted (surface, flush or desktop), with
required optional mounting components. Stat ion(s) shall feature elec tret condenser mic rophone for clear half duplex voice fidelity (requiring
no pressing of any Talk or Listen butt ons).

Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 4.0" c olor video screen (measured diagonally). Monitors using mirrors or other non-flat type screens, or
coaxial cable shall not be ac ceptable. Monitor(s) shall feature c ontrols for brightness, c ontrast and horizontal hold.

Stat ions that include simplex t ype or ot her voice tec hnologies shall not be ac ceptable. Station shall include a Voic e On, Door Release, Call
Volume, Call Down, and four (4) auxiliary c alling butt ons (marked '1', '2', '3' and '4'). Station(s) shall include a built- in (user
selectable) electronic c all tone signal. St ation(s) shall require only t wo (2) c ommon (loop) wires for system operation, and can be used
with the optional model ECD2 dual input wiring harness c onnector, for interfac ing to Emergency, Smoke, Pendant or other dry contac t
closure input devices and AlphaEntry™ hardware/soft ware (v3.0 or later).
