SAR-12/24 Auxiliary Relay

The Auxiliary Relay(s) shall be Alpha Communicat ions® / Golmar
model SAR-12/24, or approved equal. T he SAR-12/24 shall be built
into a rugged high impact ABS plastic c ase, and shall be powered
by the 12VDC to 18VDC provided when an apartment handset
or monitor is called from an entry station. Contractor shall furnish
the proper number of SAR-12/24 units, depending upon system
requirements.

Low voltage wiring shall be used and positive screw terminal
connectors shall be provided for installation wiring. The SAR-12/24
shall be mountable right to t he surfac e of the wall, or behind the
wall in the apartment, behind the monitor or apt . st ation.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

SAR-12/24 Auxiliary RelaySAR-12/24 Auxiliary Relay

The Alpha Communicat ions® / Golmar SAR-12/24 Auxiliary Relay is
used only with t he GB2, Platea, Tekna and/or Szena series
intercom and/or video-intercom systems. T he SAR-12/24 is
activated when t he GB2, Platea, Tekna and/or Szena station is
called from a door entry st ation, and provides a dry contac t relay
closure to ac tivat e an auxiliary signaling device.

All SAR- 12/24 field connec tions are positive sc rew t erminal type,
and the SAR-12/24 is powered directly from the 12VDC to 18VDC
provided at the apartment station, when called from an entry
stat ion.

Each GB2, Platea, T ekna and/or Szena series st ation that requires
remot e signaling requires a minimum of one (1) SAR-12/24 Auxiliary
Relay.

Typic ally these relays are used to power the LI404B hearing-
impaired strobe, or similar device.
