The AlphaRefuge™ 2400 Series system
Refuge Call Box(es) shall be Alpha
Communications® RCB2400RN , or
approved equal.

The RCB2400RN Refuge Call Box(es) shall
be Surface Mount type and shall be
enclosed in a Red fiberglass NEMA 4 rated
enclosure, suitable for outdoor use. The

RCB2400RN Refuge Call Box(es) shall

contain a built-in heavy- duty metal call
button and Red call placed / call
answered LED.

The RCB2400RN Refuge Call Box(es) shall
have power AND battery back-up power
provided by the PWRAPC or PWRAPC112
(depending on system capacity) c entral
power supply and batt ery bac k-up unit.

The Refuge Call Box(es), shall be IBC,
NFPA and ADAAG code c ompliant.

Contractor shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® RCB2400RN Refuge Call Boxes are used with t he AlphaRefuge™
2400 Series Area of Refuge system, and are Surface Mount type built into a NEMA rated
fiberglass enclosure, suitable for outdoor use.

The PWRAPC or PWRAPC112 (depending on syst em capac ity) power supply unit can provide
power and battery bac k-up for the RCB2400RN Refuge Call Boxes.

The RCB2400RN Refuge Call Boxes c ome standard with a built- in heavy- duty metal c all
button,and are available with an optional mushroom head c all button (add Suffix- M).

The RCB2400RN Refuge Call Boxes c ome standard with a built- in Red call placed / call
answered LED.

Only one (1) PWRAPC or PWRAPC112 power supply is needed per system.
