PM321/PM322B Multiplex Lamp Control ModulesPM321/PM322B Multiplex Lamp Control Modules

The PM321B and PM322B multiplex lamp c ontrol modules are for
use with NC300II series nurse call system patient stat ions IR319B
and IR320B, and the SF401DIG pillow speaker. The modules provide
for ON/OFF control of t wo lamp sources through the pillow
speaker. Lamp sources are typically the overhead room lamp and
a separate reading lamp. Circuitry for low-voltage switc hing of t he
lamps is t o be provided by others.

Turning the lamps on or off is accomplished by pressing the
appropriate switc hes on t he c orresponding pillow speakers. The
lamp c ontrol modules can also be direct ly mounted to stat ions
equipped with PM311C or PM312C pillow speaker interc om modules.

If desired, standard SF41 series pillow speaker or SF401A call
cords may be used without removal of the PM321B and/or PM322B
modules.

Architects' And Engineers' SpecificationsArchitects' And Engineers' Specifications

The multiplex Lamp Control Module(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® / TekTone Model PM321B, PM322B
or approved equal. The PM321B module(s) shall be designed for
use with NC300II series IR319B patient st ation; t he PM322B shall
be designed for use with NC300II series IR320B patient st ation.

When used in conjunction with t he appropriate
Alpha Communications® pillow speaker, PM321B and

PM322B modules shall provide for on/off control of two

lamp sources, generally one room lamp and one reading lamp. Lamp
control modules may also be used in c onjunction with Alpha
Communic at ions® / TekTone model PM311C or PM312C pillow
speaker intercom modules.

All electronic components necessary for this function shall be
mounted on a print ed c ircuit board which shall be mounted to the

IR319B or IR320B station. For stations equipped with PM311C or
PM312C modules, the PM321B or PM322B shall be mounted t o

those modules.
