The intercom amplifier shall be Alpha Communications®
/ TekTone® model PK543A or approved equal and shall
provide amplification, cont rol and power circuits needed t o operate
the entire intercom system. The amplifier shall feature
integrated c ircuit amplificat ion, integrated c ircuit call tone
oscillator (supporting steady and warble tone modes). User ac c ess
to the voice volume c ontrol and t one volume c ontrol shall be
provided for field adjustment .

Unit shall also provide for AC, DC or maglock (12VDC/24VDC) door
release with t hree (3) selec table delayed door timing modes.
Steady and warble tone options shall be available to identify a c all
from the entrance panel and/or call button at suite entrance. Unit
shall include power LED and selectable options to provide butt on
hold timeout and T alk interlock (TALK button must be pressed
before DOOR but ton c an be activated). A specific func tion
connector shall be provided to fac ilitate connection to devices
that provide multiple entrance panel functionality.

Low voltage wiring shall be used and plug in type wiring
harness, with pigtail connect ors, shall be provided for installation
wiring.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical
and building codes.

The Alpha Communications® / TekTone PK543A Power Pack
Amplifier is a self- contained unit not requiring an external amplifier.
The PK543A is designed for use with 3, 4 or 5 wire apartment
speaker type stat ions and provides amplification, c ontrol and
power circuits needed t o operate a complete apartment intercom
system. Voice volume c ontrol and tone volume control are easily
adjustable through the screwdriver slot on the front panel. It is
also a direct replacement for our previous model PK543.

Additional functions include multiple entrance operation with the

IA502 OR PK502B; AC, DC or maglock configurations with three (3)

selectable door timing modes; post offic e door lock release; steady
or warble call tones; power LED; selectable door button hold
timeout; and selectable T alk before door interlock.
