Specifications

The out door remot e st ations shall be Alpha
Communications® model OR502SS or
approved equal. Station fac eplate shall be
minimum 16 gauge high-c arbon brush
finish stainless steel. A single momentary
action, solid-metal push-butt on shall be
provided for calling function.
The speaker/microphone shall be a 2.75"
(70mm) high-sensitivity mylar plastic c one
type with excellent voice-frequency
response. The speaker shall be protected
by a fine mesh grille, and backplate.
Pigtails shall be provided for all wiring
terminations. St ation shall have beveled
edges and shall fit over a model IH101
(flush) or OH700 (Black surface) or IH700G
(Grey Surfac e) back box.

The OR502SS station shall be installed
with Sc rulox type vandal-resistant sc rew
fasteners, included with t he
stat ion. Contractor shall supply a model S1
screwdriver to the building owner for
future system maintenance.

Contract or shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

OR502SS Vandal-Resistant St. Steel Remote Station

The Alpha Communicat ions® OR502SS outdoor remote intercom stat ions are designed
specifically to minimize vandalism and abuse. Made from 16 gauge high-carbon brush
finish stainless steel, with solid metal push-button, these stations are built to last. A high
sensitivity 2.75" (70mm) mylar plastic c one speaker assures c risp, clear voice
communication, and resists mold and mildew caused by dampness on paper cone speakers.

The OR502SS is designed to work with many types of intercom systems, and mounts over
our standard IH101 (flush) or OH700 (Black surface) or IH700G (Grey Surface) back box.

Pigtail wiring makes these stations easy to wire and resists wat er corrosion found on P.C.
board type stat ions. When used with the SM201B, SM202, or SM400 series master
stat ion(s), a model EC105 non-polarized capacitor must be installed into the OR502SS
remot e st ation. Stations are also available in c ustom sizes and wiring configurations.

Model EC105 c apacitor. Required when using the OR502SS with our

SM201B and/ or SM400 series master st ations. Model S1 screwdriver,

used to install OR502SS onto bac k box.
