Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The flush back box(es) shall be Alpha Communications® model

OH600 or OH601 or approved equal. The OH600 shall be made of

galvanized steel and t he OH601 shall be made of steel, and
painted in a Grey powder coated epoxy finish, or of
galvanized steel. All models shall have standard elect rical
knockouts on t he top and bott om (when mounted vertically), to
allow for wire acc ess.

Contract or shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

OH600 / OH601 Flush Backboxes

The Alpha Communicat ions® models OH600 and OH601 are flush
mounting backboxes. T he OH600 is made of galvanized steel and
the OH601 is made of steel, painted in a Grey powder coat epoxy
painted finish for durability, or in galvanized steel They are our
most popular flush mounting boxes, and are used with a variety of
flush mount interc om entry lobby panels, and remote intercom
stat ions.

The painted boxes are finished on top, bot tom, both sides, and the
back and bot h models have standard electrical knockouts on the
top and bottom (when mounted vertically), t o allow for wire
access. These boxes are designed to be attac hed to
mounting studs or set directly into a conc rete or masonry wall..

An adjustable 'tinnerman' mounting c lip on the top and bott om
(when mounted vertically) allows the finished panel/stat ion to be
mounted level, even if the back box is installed slightly crooked.

They are typically used with the ES612, AM612 and AM642 series
lobby entry panel stations, but can be used with other st ations as
well. The OH600 can also be used with the IR150SS area of rescue
assistanc e remote station(s), when mounted horizontally.
