SPECIFICAT IO NS

The GB2 series power supply unit(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® / Golmar FA-

GB2/B, or approved equal. The FA-GB2/B

shall provide enough power and controls for
up to 32 of the GB2 series monitors and
one (1) door entry panel. If more than one
(1) door entry panel is used, contractor s hall
furnish and install the required DP-GB2A
door panel expansion unit. For systems
larger than 32 monitors, additional FA-

GB2/B power s upplies and the required RD-
GB2/A repeater/router unit(s) shall be

installed as needed.

Contractor shall observe all local and
national electrical and building codes.

GB 2 W IR ING INFORMAT IO N

The GB2's system us es simple 2-conductor
non-polarized wiring making it ideal for new
installations as well as for retrofit
applications. All audio, video and data
functions are fully digital and using the RAP-

2150 (or equivalent) cable you can run up to

300 meters from the entrance panel to the
furthest monitor.

FA- GB2/B POWE R SU PPLY FO R GB2 SYST EM

The Alpha Communications® / Golmar FA-GB2/B power supply is
used exclusively with the GB2 series systems. The FA-GB2/B
power supply is located between the entry panel's BUS and the
monitor's BUS.

The capacity of the FA-GB2/B is currently up to 32 monitors and
one (1) entry panel. If there is more than one (1) entry panel,
then the DP-GB2A needs to be installed.

For systems larger than 32 monitors, you will need additional FA-

GB2/B power supplies and the required RD-GB2/A

repeater/router unit(s) as needed.

T h e FA-GB2/B has a relay built-in for the connection of the
staircase light. This relay is controlled from the monitors.
