The GB2 series power supply unit(s) shall be
Alpha Communicat ions® / Golmar FA- GB2/A, or
approved equal. The FA-GB2/A shall provide
enough power and controls for up to 22 of t he

GB2 series monitors and one (1) door entry

panel. If more than one (1) door entry panel is
used, c ontrac tor shall furnish and install an
additional FA-GB2/A power supply.

Contractor shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building codes.

GB2 Wiring InformationGB2 Wiring Information

The GB2's system uses simple 2-conductor non-
polarized wiring making it ideal for new
installations as well as for retrofit applications.
All audio, video and dat a functions are fully
digital and using the RAP-2150 (or equivalent)
cable you can run up to 300 meters from the
entrance panel to the furthest monitor.

The Alpha Communicat ions® / Golmar FA-GB2/A power supply is used exclusively
with the GB2 series systems. T he FA-GB2/A power supply is located between the
entry panel's BUS and the monit or's BUS.

The capac ity of t he FA-GB2/A is c urrently up to 22 monitors and one (1) entry
panel. If there is more t han one (1) entry panel, then an additional FA-GB2/A power
supply needs to be installed.

The FA-GB2/A has a relay built-in for the connect ion of t he st aircase light. This relay
is controlled from the monitors.
