The Emergency Push/Pull Stat ions shall be shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model EPS155, or
approved equal. Operation of emergency signals shall be
accomplished by a short pull on the nylon cord or by pulling /
pushing down on t he Red lever marked 'EMERGENCY".

The Red "CALL PLACED" L.E.D. indicator shall flash to assure the
patient that the call has been placed. Switc hing mechanism shall
consist of a reliable DPDT switc h.

The EPS155 is typically used as a t oilet emergency pull station and
is not designed to be used in wet or damp environments. For wet
or damp (or shower) type applications use the model# EPS337
stat ion instead.

All electronic components needed for these features shall be
mounted on a printed c ircuit board and all st ation c omponents
shall be mounted an a rugged ABS plastic fac eplate. The station(s)
shall be installed in a single gang ring with square box. Plug-in
connectors shall be provided for connec tions. The EPS155 shall be
UL® 1069 Listed t o the latest standards.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communications® EPS155 Emergency Stat ion may be
used in any location where ac tivation of an emergency signal
is required. All electronic components are mounted on a c ircuit
board. The EPS155 features a built- in Red (flashing) LED, and 6
foot nylon pull cord.

Due t o the flexibility of its design, it may be used as a PULL CORD
EMERGENCY STATION, OR a PUSH TYPE EMERGENCY STAT ION. The
pull cord supplied may be used for emergency call activation or if
so desired, the LARGE RED push/pull down lever may be used.

The EPS155 is used primarily with t he AlphaLinQ™ 100 series
visual nurse-call system, but c an be used and is backwards
compat ible with some older syst ems as well. The EPS155 is U.L.
1069 listed, to t he latest standards.
