The multi-entrance video adapt er(s) shall
be Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™
model DPS-2 (aka European model#
TUV2), or approved equal. Unit(s) shall
provide the c ontrol and power
circuits needed t o switch the video
funct ions, to the calling entrance station
camera location. Unit(s) shall be used in
addition to standard syst em amplifier.
Low voltage wiring shall be used and
positive sc rew t erminals shall be provided
for installation wiring. The DPS-2 unit(s)
shall be installed adjacent to the video
intercom amplifier.

Contractor shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

DPS-2 (TUV2) Multi-Entrance Video Switching AdapterDPS-2 (TUV2) Multi-Entrance Video Switching Adapter

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T .R.™ DPS-2 multi-ent rance adapters are used with our
S.T.R.™ series videointercom systems only. They provide video (camera) switc hing for two
(2) to eight (8) entrances or remote c ameras. In Europe, the DPS-2 is also known as the
TUV2 (the European model#).

The DPS-2 adapters are used in addition to t he system amplifier, and power off of t he same
transformer. No additional transformer needed. The DPS-2 video switchers must be
used with t he T U1007A audio/door opener switchers. You need (1) DPS-2 for each

TU1007A adapter being used.

You must use one (1) DPS-2 switching adapter for (2) camera locat ions, use t wo (2) for
(3-4) c amera locations, use three (3) for (5-6) c amera locations and use four (4) for (7- 8)
building entrances, etc .

The DPS-2 multi-entrance adapt ers are designed to easily surface mount right ont o the
finished wall by means of c ustomer supplied sc rews or t he c onvenient plastic 'Din
Rail' bracket supplied with eac h switching adapter. Connect ions are positive sc rew terminal
type.
