The keyboard connects to the Laptop via the Connector. When the connection is successful:

• If the unit is in PC mode, it will automatically adjust its settings to use the keyboard.

• If the unit is in Tablet mode, the message box "Do you want to exit tablet mode?"

will display on the bottom of the screen. Choose "Yes" or "No" to proceed.

Charging your Laptop

IMPORTANT! Please Read.

We recommend fully charging your Laptop before using it for the ﬁrst time. For optimum performance, please connect the provided AC adaptor to your Laptop when it falls below 20% charge.

The Laptop can be used only the provided AC Adaptor ( Zhuzhou Dachuan Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., model no. DCT18W120150US-A0 or Debom Technology Co., Ltd with model no. DBS018A-1201500U) to charge the battery.

In order to keep the battery working in best condition, please pay attention to the following:

• The included AC adaptor is for use with this unit only. Do not use it with other equipment.

• Please do not charge the battery in high temperatures.

• Do not wait for the battery to be fully depleted before charging again. Keep the battery charged as needed.

• If your Laptop has not been used for a long period of time, the battery might be in over discharge protection mode and may take longer to charge.

Charging time will vary depending on remaining battery level. Charging from 0% to 70% will take approximately 1.5 hours. You may not be able to turn on your Laptop within a few minutes if the battery was fully drained.

Starting for the ﬁrst time

When using the Laptop for the ﬁrst time, you will be required to setup the following:

1. Press and hold the Power button on your Laptop until the ONN logo appears.

2. Select your desired language, then tap

Put your Laptop to sleep

You can put your Laptop to Sleep mode by doing either of the following:

• Go to the Windows start menu or the Tablet mode and tap

• Briefly press the Power button to put the Laptop in sleep mode. If you don’t

operate for some time, the Laptop will enter sleep mode automatically

Windows will be active automatically once you connect your Laptop to a Wi-Fi network.

Windows 10 Home in S mode

Streamlined for security and performance, Windows 10 Home in S mode works exclusively with apps from the Windows Store. Some accessories and apps that are compatible with other Windows 10 version might not work with Windows 10 Home in S mode, and performance can vary. Certain default settings, features, and apps cannot be changed. If needed, you can easily switch to a Windows 10 Home conﬁguration.

Gestures for the Touchscreen

Here are some basic procedures for interacting with the touchscreen.

Left edge swipe

Right edge swipe

Swipe from the left edge of the screen to shue your running apps.

Finger slide

Slide your ﬁnger to scroll up or down; pan the screen left or right.

Swipe from the right edge of the screen to launch the Action Center screen.

Zoom

By placing two fingers on the screen, you can slide them apart to "Zoom In", or pinch them together to "Zoom Out".

To select an item on the touchscreen, lightly tap it.

On the File Explorer desktop, double tap an application to launch it.

To move an app, touch and hold the app tile and drag it to a new position;

Using the Trackpad

Use the Trackpad to move the cursor or select an item. The left and right buttons of the Trackpad act the same as the left and right buttons of a mouse.

It allows you to receive system notiﬁcations, such as updates. It also has a really useful Quick Actions on the bottom.

Checking notiﬁcations

1. Tap the icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to launch the ACTION CENTER screen.

2. All messages appears in the Action Center and you can select and tap them to read.

Tip: Yo u ca n go to Settings -> System -> Notifications & actions to set the Notiﬁcations and Actions.

NOTE

• Select Expand or Collapse to expand or minimize the Quick Actions menu.

Power Management

When the apparatus is not connected power adaptor and not providing the main function or when other energy-using products are not dependent on its function, the default system settings and its characteristics enable the apparatus to activate display sleep mode within 5 minutes of user inactivity, and to activate a distinct sleep mode within 10 minutes of user inactivity. In the same scenario, when the apparatus is connected to power adaptor, will activate display sleep mode within 15 minutes of user inactivity, and activate a distinct sleep mode within 25 minutes of user inactivity. When in sleep mode, the system becomes fully usable within 5 seconds via network connections or user interface devices. The power management function is automatically switched on by the default system settings.

Go to Settings -> System -> Power & sleep to manage how your Laptop use power.

Inserting a microSD card

Insert the microSD card into the Laptop’s microSD slot until it clicks.

To check the storage of the microSD card, go to Settings -> System -> Storage.

Remove the microSD card by pushing in on the card's edge. The card will pop out and can be removed.

You can connect the Laptop to an external display device. The cables required to connect an external display are sold separately.

Connecting to a display

Connect the Laptop to a TV or other display device using an HDMI cable (not cluded) through the Mini HDMI port.

3. Go to Action Center menu, select and tap Project.

4. Select your desired mode as following:

PC screen only

Shows the screen on the Laptop only.

Duplicate

Shows the screen on both the Laptop and the

Second screen only

Shows the screen on the external display only.

Tip: You can also select the dual view (extend) mode. Go to Settings -> System -> Display, and select Detect on the Multiple displays option.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network

Connect the Laptop to a wireless network to use the Internet.

On the Taskbar, select and tap .

Select a network from the list of detected wireless networks and select Connect

Enter the Access Point's password, if necessary, and select Next.

You can use Bluetooth to communicate between the Laptop and other Bluetooth devices, such as a smartphone.

2. Then the Laptop will be a discoverable bluetooth device and you can scan it

on your other bluetooth device.

Tip:

You can also go to Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth, tap it to On.

Brightness

You can adjust the brightness level of the screen accroding to your requirements.

1. Do I need to charge my tablet before first use?

Yes, it’s highly recommended to fully charge the tablet before the initial use. Using the provided AC adapter connect the cable end to the tablet, and then plug the charger in to a standard wall outlet. Allow the tablet to charge for a minimum of 20 minutes before use.

2. What do the charging lights indicate?

The charge light indicator has some settings as below.

• O, or no light displayed means the tablet’s AC adapter is either not plugged in or

has a poor connection.

• Flashing Red color means low battery, plug in AC adapter to charge your tablet.

Red color light means the tablet is charging.

• Green color light means the tablet is fully charged.

Note: Leaving your tablet plugged in after it’s fully charged will not harm your device or the battery.

3. How do I connect to WiFi?

Navigate to your tablet’s settings and use your finger to slide the bar to “ON”. Next, simply choose your network from

the list of choices and enter your password. Once your password is entered click “Connect”. To turn WiFi off, simply slide the bar to the “OFF” position.

6. How do I change screen brightness?

To ﬁnd the brightness slider, navigate to Settings System and then select Display. You may then move the “Change brightness” slider to adjust the brightness.

7. How can I turn the Narrator On or Off.

There are a couple of ways you can turn Narrator On or O.

1. On the sign-in screen, select the Ease of access button in the lower-right corner, and use

the toggle under Narrator.

2. Click on Settings, Ease of Access and then Narrator. Use the toggle to turn Narrator On or

8. How do I insert and remove the tablet from the keyboard case?

To remove the tablet, simply hold the keyboard portion of the case and lift the tablet from either the top right or top left edge. It should come apart very easily. To reattach the tablet, align the pin connectors on the keyboard to the bottom edge of the tablet.

9. What’s the battery life expectancy.

Battery life expectancy is approximately six hours but may vary based on use and the types of applications running on your tablet. Quick tip: Keeping your screen brightness down can conserve battery life.

10. How often should I update my tablet?

It’s always a good idea to make sure you’re operating your tablet with the latest updates. To do so, head to settings and click on “Update and Security”. Once there you can select “Check for Updates”.

About HDMI

High-Deﬁnition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a high-speed digital interface that can transmit uncompressed high deﬁnition video and digital multichannel audio.
