Note:- This remote control will not operate Tape functions, except Volume.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Insert 2 x “AAA” size batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure that the batteries are inserted
correctly to avoid da mage to t he remote control. Always remove the batteries when the remote
control wi ll not be used for a long peri od of time, as this wil l cause leakage to the batteries and
subsequently dama
ge to your set.
Notes:
- Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
- If the distance required between the remote control and the appliance decreases, the batteries
are exhausted. In this case replace the batteries with new one.
Do not break open or throw on a fire exhausted batteries. Consult your local waste centre for details of disposal.
SENSOR WINDOW OF THE RECEIVER
- Even if the remote control is operated within the effective range, its operation may be impossible if
there are any obstacies between the appliance and the remote control.
- If the remote control is operated near other appliances which generate infrared rays, or if other
remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the appliance, it may operate incorrectly.

AUTOMATIC TUNING
RADIO OPERATION
1. Press the “TUNER / BAND” button to enter radio
2. Press the “TUNER / BAND” button to select AM or FM.
3. Press the “SKIP +” or “SKIP -” button to start automatic tuning process.
4. When a station is tuned in, the tuning process will stop automatically and you can listen to your chosen station.
MANUAL TU
This is for selecting stations, which cannot be tuned automatically. (manual selection)
To tune a channel manually.
- Skip step 4 in the above procedures.
- In step 3, each time the “SKIP +” or “SKIP -” button is pressed momentarily (0.5 second or less),
the frequency changes by a fixed step:
FM: 0.05 MHz steps
AM: 9 kHz steps

MEMORY PRESET
1. Repeat step 1 to 4 in the AUTOMATIC TUNING procedures.
2. When you have a station you wish to store. Press the “MEMORY” button to start the preset process.
3. Display will show the memory sequence number and a flashing “00”.
4. Press the “M - UP” or “M - DOWN” button to select the preset station number.
5. Press again the “MEMORY” button to store your chosen station.
6. Once al l the s tations are st ored, p ress th e “M - UP” or “M - DO WN” but ton to listen to
your chosen station.
MONO / STEREO
If the station received is noise free select Stereo. If the station is poor or noisy select Mono.

TAPE OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
PAUSE Press to stop playing tape temporarily. Press again to resume tape playing.
STOP / EJECT Press to stop tape playing. Press again to open the cassette door after the tape spools stop turning.
FAST FORWARD & Press to start rapid tape winding either forward or reverse direction. REWIND PLAY Press to start playing tape.
RECORD Press it together with “PLAY” button to start recording.
PLAYBACK
1. Press the “TAPE” button to enter “TAPE” mode.
2. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open the cassette door and insert your tape.
3. Close the cassette door.
4. Press the “PLAY” button to start playing
5. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
6. Press the “PAUSE” button when you want to stop playing tape operation temporarily.
7. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button when finished.

RECORDING (DECK
1. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open the cassette door and insert a blank tape.
2. Select the source you want to record.
To record from radio - Press the “TUNER / BAND” button to enter “RADIO” mode and select the
desired station.
To record from CD - Press the “CD” button to enter “CD” mode. Place a dissc in the CD compartment
and select the desired track.
3. Press the “RECORD” button together with the “PLAY” button to start recording.
4. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button when finish
Note : Tape cassettes with tabs removed will prevent the Record button from being pressed
Protecting Recording
Normally, anything recorded on the tape is automatically erased when a new recording is made. It is possible to protect your recordings from accidental erasure by removing the tabs found on the rear of the cassette. See page 8. When the cassette is held with the recorded side upper-most and exposed tape facing the front, the protective tab will be found on the left rear of the cassette. All pre-recorded cassette are protected in this way to prevent accidental erasure of the commercial recording “Protected” cassettes will prevent the record button from being operated. If at any time you attempt to record and find that this button will not depress, never force the mechanism or it may be damaged. Check that a cassette has been loaded and that a tab has not been removed. Recording on a cassette from which the tabs have been removed can be done by covering the tab openings with a piece of adhesive tape.

TAPE OPERATION
Side A
DUBBING (DECK 2) TO (DECK 1)
This appliance enables you to duplicate a prerecorded tape to another tape by using the in-unit double deck mechanisms. It is performed only one way, from deck 2 (playback) to deck 1 (recording).
DUBBING AT NORMAL SPEED
1. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open both cassette doors.
2. Insert a blank tape into deck 1 and a pre - recorded tape into deck 2.
3. Press the deck 1 “PAUSE” button and then press the “RECORD” button.
4. Press the deck 2 “PLAY” button to start recording.
DUBBING AT HIGH SPEED
1. Press the “DUBBING SPEED” button to select “HIGH” dubbing speed.
2. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open both cassette doors.
3. Insert a blank tape into deck 1 and a pre - recorded tape into deck 2.
4. Press the deck 1 “PAUSE” button and then press the “RECORD” button.
5. Press the deck 2 “PLAY” button to start recording.

PLAYBACK
1. Press the “CD” button to enter CD mode.
2. Press the “OPEN / CLOSE” button to open the disc loader compartment and place a CD disc with
the label facing upwards in the CD compartment.
3. When the disc loader compartment is open, only the right and left disc holders are exposed. The
third disc holder will remain covered. To expose the third disc holder, press the “DISC SKIP”
button once.
4. Press the “OPEN / CLOSE” button to close the disc loader compartment.
5. Focus search is performed if a disc is inside. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button to start playing the disc.
6. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
7. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button again when you want to stop playback temporarily.
8. Press the “STOP” button to finish completely.

CD OPERATION
PROGRAM
Up to 20 tracks can be programmed for disc play in any order.
Be sure to press the “STOP” button before use.
1. Press the “MEMORY” button, the display will show “000 P-01”, “MEMORY” and disc no. flashing.
2. Select desired track by using the “SKIP +” or “SKIP -” button.
3. Press the “MEMORY” button again to store the desired track into the program memory.
4. Repeat step 2 to 4 to enter additional tracks into the program memory.
5. When all the desired tracks have programmed. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button to play the disc
in the order you have programmed.
6. Press the “STOP” button to terminate programmed playback.

Press the “EQ” button on remote control, each press will switch the EQ function as follows:
1 - JAZZ
2 - ROCK
3 - CLASSIC
4 - POP
5 - FLAT (NORMAL)
Notes:
- CD-RW, CD-R, discs may not play according to the type of recording. MP3 and WMA discs will not play, however WAV files should play.
EXTRA BASS
1. Press the “BASS” button to enjoy extra bass sound effect.
2. Display will show “BASS - ON”.
3. Press the “BASS” button again to switch off extra bass sound effect.
INTRO
1. While in “CD” mode, press the “INTRO” button on remote control to play each song for 10
seconds.
2. Press the “INTRO” button again to resume normal playback.
REMAIN
1. Press the “REMAIN” button once, display will show the time remaining on the song currently playing.
2. Press the “REMAIN” button twice, display will show the time remaining on the CD currently playing.
3. Press the “REMAIN” button 3 times, display will show the number of songs and time already played
on the current CD.
4. Press the “REMAIN” button 4 times to exit this function.

OTHER FEATURES
SLEEP
1. Press the “SLEEP” button on remote control, display will show “SLEEP 90”. That means, after 90
minutes, appliance will automatically turn to standby mode.
2. Hold the “SLEEP” button for about 5 seconds to select the turn off time, from 90, to 10 minutes
in 10 minute intervals.
3. Press the “SLEEP” button to “SLEEP OFF” to canel the sleep function.
TIMER ON / OFF & MEMORY CLOCK AJDUST BY REMOTE CONTROL
1. Press the “MODE” button once, the display will show the clock time. Then press the “MEMORY /
CLK - ADJ” button. The display will show “00:00”. Press the “SKIP+” or “SKIP-” button to adjust the
time. When done, press the “MODE” button once to confirm.
2. Now “TIMER ON” will appear flashing on the diaplay. Press the “MEMORY / CLK - ADJ” button and
“SKIP -” button to set the TIMER ON function. When done, press the “MODE” button once to confirm.
Set the appliance to “STANDBY” mode.
3. Press the “MODE” button once more, “TIMER OFF” will appear flashing on display. Follow similar
instructions as mentioned in 2) above. Unit will turn to “STANDBY” mode, at the time set by TIMER
OFF.
4. After setting the TIMER ON and TIMER OFF, press the “TIMER” button once to activate these
functions.
Note. If the apparatus is disconnected from the mains supply all timings will be lost

Do not attach paper or tape to disc.
Fingerprints and dust on the disc casue picture and sound deterioration. Wipe the disc from the centre outwards with a soft cloth. Always keep the disc clean.
If you can not wipe o wipe the disc lightly with a slightly moistened soft cloth and finish with a dry cloth.
Do not use any type of solvent such as thinne benzine, commercially available cleaners or anti­static spray for vinyl Lps. It may damage the disc.
