Step 4 Select No, not this time and click Next if Windows ask to connect to
Windows Update.
Step 5 Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click
Next.

Installation
The following steps and screen shot s are for Windows XP only . Please
refer to the User’s Manual in the CD for Windows 98/ME/2000.
Step 1 Power on your computer and connect the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to
your computer’s USB port.
Step 2 Insert the Driver CD into your CD drive.
Step 3 If the autorun screen appears, click Exit to close the autorun screen.

Step 6 Verify Search for the best driver in these locations is selected and
both check boxes below are checked and click Browse.
Step 8 Click Next to inst all the driver .
Step 7 Expand your CD drive, select the WinXP folder and click OK.
Step 9 Click Continue Anyway at the Windows Logo prompt.

Step 10 Click Finish to complete the installation.

Step 11 Connect an Ethernet cable from the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to the
desired Ethernet device.

Verify Driver Installation
To verify if the driver has been installed successfully, please perform the
following steps.
Step 1 Right-click on My Computer from your desktop and select Properties.
Step 2 Select the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager.
Step 3 Expand Network adapters from the list and verify that ASIX ax88772
USB2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter is listed and no yellow question mark is
beside it.
