Factory T ested and Approved Cables for the KB 3x5 Series

WIRE FOR KB SERIES:

Aiphone has tested and approved the following cables
for the KB series video entry system. Since the KB
system transmits its audio and video signals digitally,
it is important that the proper cable is used.

With these cables, the KB system will perform at the
distances specified.

Each KB-DAR to KB-3MRD: 650’
KB-3MRD to last KB-3HRD, looped: 330’

SYSTEM LAYOUT:

Max. 650’ per door station

Aiphone recommends that all KB systems be installed with the
Aiphone or West Penn cables, regardless of distances.

WIRE SPECIFICA TIONS:

• Power-limited fire protective signaling cable

• FPL or FPLR Rated

• Solid bare copper conductors, non-shielded

• Mid or Low capacitance, PE insulation

• 18 or 16 AWG

• DC Resistance of 6.5 ohms/M’ or less

AIPHONE WIRE:

87180250C: 18AWG, 2 cond. solid FPL, 500’ box
87180210C: 18AWG, 2 cond. solid FPL, 1000’ box

WIRE WARRANTY :

Aiphone warrants all of its video systems for two years,
plus an additional year when Aiphone cable is used.
