Situation:
Due to a change in the manufacturing process of the output power amplifier transistors on
the IF section’s source board, the source harmonic distortion specification can no longer
be met without considerable redesign of the source board. After measuring the distortion
level produced by the transistors, it has been determined that the typical harmonic distortion is -37 to -38 dBc between 5 Mhz and 10 MHz.
Solution/Action:
The 89440A and 89440A harmonic and other spurious products specification for 5 MHz to
10 MHz changed from 33 dBc to 35 dBc. The following manuals and software contain the
new specification and supersede all previous versions:
